Over-priced menu, but it seems all owners price gouge customers downtown, in Nashville. That doesn't make it right, but that is not the primary negative about this place. It's a shame when an owner treats you and most customers well, but then you witness their true self when dealing with others. This owner is simply not a nice person, behind the facade he shows to customers that he is overcharging.
Update: In response to the owner's dissatisfaction with my review; I was in no way eavesdropping. Maybe he was having a bad day and decided to take it out on someone who he felt superior to. Based on his response to me, I believe he finds me to now be beneath his station, as well. I stand by my review and can now completely confirm he is not a good person and does has no ability to take responsible for being who he is. Go visit, or don't. I will not be back and will not advise anyone to spend money supporting people like "this guy". Sir, I don't think I can disparage your character, as I have not known you have have any character to disparage. Thank you for your reply and demonstrating your contempt for the average guy. I believe your reply speaks more about who your are than anything I...
Read moreUnfortunately our experience was not in line with other reviews. 6 of us were really looking forward to trying this place out. It was empty on a late Friday afternoon. The decor was inviting. The bartender (skinny blonde middle aged woman) appeared to be drinking with her girlfriend and appeared to be annoyed she was going to have to work. 5 of us are from Canada and she said she could not accept our drivers licenses as proof of id. (My sons are 21 and 23) She said she could loose her license for accepting out of state id but then asked for our passports which we obviously did not have. She then apparently called her boss and he must have instructed her to accept our id. She asked to see the ids again and then started swearing and throwing stuff apparently because she could not find her glasses. We told her not to bother we were leaving and on our way out she yelled at us as to whether we were stealing any cigars which we left on the bar in front of her. We went to another cigar lounge...Montecristo and it was excellent. The cigar selection was significantly better and the...
Read moreA friend and I visiting from East Tennessee were eager to try out Primings Cigar lounge after scouting out Nashville's cigar scene. The lounge itself was beautiful, with impressively clean facilities, and comfortable seating/environment. Unfortunately, the humidor was 90% empty, with only a small selection of Cohibas, Camachos, and Rocky Patels - all of which were a little too firm and dryer than they should've been. While the staff was extremely helpful and welcoming (cutting our cigars for us, ect.) they offered up drinks without ID-ing us. No complaints here, of course, but as two 18 year-olds, this should raise questions/concern with management. Other than the small selection of cigars, our experience at Primings was pleasant, but left us feeling a bit sickly due to poor ventilation in the lounge area away from the bar where we were sitting. All in all, the lounge and staff exceeded expectations, however the humidor selection and ventilation system left some to be desired. We would return, though, whenever revisiting Nashville...
