Visiting Nashville with a group of coworkers and we always seek out local coffee shops to frequent when in new places. I tried this place this morning since it had good reviews and was within walking distance of our hotel. I was very disappointed with The Morning Ritual because of their barista. I’ll never know if their drinks are any good. At first upon entry, I thought wow this place is real cute and clean and will be a nice place for us to gather in the afternoon.
I placed my order and asked for my drink to be made extra hot because it was cold out, and I would be walking in the cold. She acknowledged the request and went to make my drink. I ordered their special, which was the s’mores latte. As soon as she started making my drink, a friend of hers walked in, and she started talking to her friend at the counter . She proceeded to speak to this friend the entire time she prepared my order. When it came time to use the kitchen torch to caramelize the marshmallows she could not get it to completely work and eventually gave up so my marshmallows were not caramelized. (Not a huge deal breaker though it changes the flavor) I walked out and took a sip of my drink, and it was lukewarm, not even close to the industry standard temperature let alone extra hot. I went back in and asked the other barista who had come out if they could heat it back up and she said they didn’t have any way to heat it so that they can only remake it. I did not have time for it to be remade so I took the drink lukewarm back to my hotel and heated it in my room.
The lack of follow through on the barista to make my drink as requested will make me not go back . The barista was more interested in chatting with her friend than making sure she prepared the order correctly. I wish I could remove the tip I had left for the drink.
You must ask yourself is it better to have a good product or good customer service . I believe there must be a balance of both, but unfortunately, with bad customer service you may never get a chance to show a customer a...
Read moreI've been coming here every morning for a while now, and it's so much more than just a place to get my caffeine fix. It's the best part of my morning routine.
Right when I walk in, I'm greeted by the best baristas, Anna and Coty. They already know my name and have my order ready to go. I'm part of the "mug club," so they have my personal mug from home waiting for me, which is such a simple but amazing touch. It’s those little things that make a huge difference.
The vibe here is just perfect. It truly feels like a home away from home. Anna and Koty are always ready with a joke and take the time to actually get to know their customers. It’s not just about transactions; it’s about creating a little community. You can tell they genuinely care and want everyone to feel like family.
It's also my go-to spot to get some work done. I can comfortably sit with my laptop for hours, even taking video calls, and feel completely at ease.

In a world where marketing and clever pictures can cover up many shortcomings, this breakfast experience was a disappointment.
I don’t know if the mugs are too thick and cold or if the coffee is not hot, but we never got anything better than tepid coffee at the table, the breakfast burrito was all right, and our fresh fruit and Greek yogurt parfait was delivered in a cup with a plastic spoon and super sparse on fresh fruit. Mostly covered in a gelatinous strawberry gel. The orange juice is also a very cheap option made from concentrate and filled with added flavoring.
May be fine for a quick bite, but not a great...
