The Wyck Recommendation: Morgan Wallenâs This Bar & Tennessee Kitchen Rating: 4.4/5 Boot-Stompinâ, Line-Waitinâ, No-Cover Chaos: A Broadway Starter Pack
Broadway in Nashville doesnât ease you in. It grabs you by the belt buckle and throws you into the ring. And right in the thick of it sits This Bar, Morgan Wallenâs high-gloss country megastructure buzzing with live music, neon, and enough Wallen memorabilia to start a museum.
I lined up with bachelorettes, boot boys, and two guys who mightâve cried during sound check. By the time I got inside, I was already invested and a little buzzed.
What Was Ordered Whiskey sodas, beer buckets, and tequila shots that felt both necessary and spiritually dangerous. Drinks run 10 to 14 dollars each, standard for Broadway, but theyâre strong and fast. The bar staff does not mess around. Tip early, drink often.
Service Commentary No small talk at the door. No fake charm at the bar. Just competent, fast service and a band that knew how to read a crowd like a preacher reads a Sunday service. They interacted all night. They called out tourists, teased people, and took high-stakes song requests. I saw tips flying. Twenty to thirty dollar bills dropped without hesitation. If you tip, you get remembered.
Vibe Check Levi Lazor fronted the band the night I went. He might be part demon, part Elvis. The man jumped, grinded, wailed, and worked the stage like it owed him rent. The crowd screamed. Phones were out. Women went feral. I blacked out from joy around song three. This was not background music. This was a spiritual event.
The Space Itself The building has six total stories, but guests can access four. Each floor has a different vibe. Thereâs an open-air rooftop and balconies that overlook the main stage, so you can rage near the band or watch the chaos from above. Itâs clean, polished, and still feels freshly built. No grime. No stick. No horror-show bathrooms.
About the Neighborhood This is Broadway. That means total sensory overload, live bands in every direction, no cover charges, and a river of cowboy boots and bachelorette sashes. This Bar is in the thick of it. Everything is walkable, including your late-night mistakes.
Before You Go: First-Timer Checklist No reservations, no cover. Just show up and get in line Arrive before 8:30 p.m. unless you like waiting 45 minutes Bring ID. They card everyone Eat beforehand. Food may not be available late Tip the band. Twenty to thirty dollars is normal Donât request Wallen songs. They already know Bring bottled water. There are few places nearby that sell it If you plan to pre-drink, know that there are only two liquor stores close to Broadway Visit the rooftop. The views and breeze are worth it
Broadway Culture Decoder Girl dancing barefoot means sheâs unstoppable. Do not challenge QR code on stage means tip the band through Venmo or CashApp Big tips get requests played. Thatâs the rule If your bartender wonât make eye contact, you didnât tip When the band asks where youâre from, scream like it's a contest
Insider Tips Late-night food: Daddyâs Dogs Cheapest beer: Robertâs Western World Best rooftop views: Jason Aldeanâs Need a breather? Walk to Riverfront Park Closest liquor stores: Frugal MacDoogal and one more nearby Bring your own water if youâre staying out late
Wyckâs Broadway Breakdown Music and Band Quality: 5 out of 5 Drink Prices: 3.8 out of 5 Vibe: 4.7 out of 5 Cleanliness: 4.7 out of 5 Crowd Energy: 5 out of 5 Staff and Service: 4.2 out of 5 Wait Time: 2.8 out of 5
Hits and Misses Hits: Interactive band that actually performs with the crowd Multi-level layout with stage views from above Extremely clean and well-maintained for Broadway High energy without crossing into sketchy Misses: Line gets long if you arrive late Food may not be served late Very few places nearby to buy water or alcohol Not ideal if youâre sober, shy, or crowd-averse
Final Verdict Morgan Wallenâs This Bar is the perfect Broadway launchpad. High-energy crowds, fast drinks, polished design, and a live band that makes you feel like the...
Read moreMy wife was physically assaulted and the perpetrator was not removed from the premises. I have some things to say regarding the staff working that night, namely Baker, Jarron and Jeremiah.
First off, look at my other reviews on google, Iâm not some unhappy person who review bombs places for fun.
Six of us, including my wife and I, bought Platinum passes for New Years Eve ($250ea.). My wife and I were standing and talking in a corner of the bar when some drunk woman attempted a cartwheel right in front of us. She jerked her legs up and kicked my wife in the thigh, scratched and bruised her, and kicked the drink from her hand and all over me. She narrowly missed my wifes nose and face only because she was quick enough to move her head back
The security manager, Baker, stepped in to assess the situation. The result of which was him telling us it was an accident and âaccidents happenâ. He refused to remove this drunk woman from the premises for reasons unknown to me. I come from the customer service industry, former waiter/bartender, now United States military Veteran. The way Baker handled this situation is something I could never have imagined. Physical assault due to someoneâs inability to act like a civilized member of society, and then to be told âit was an accidentâ and have nothing done about it is the poorest and most dangerous display of âcustomer serviceâ I have ever experienced. Platinum passes aside, how can you let someone acting like that remain on the premises? The safety of patrons is questionable. Period.
His subordinate, Jeremiah was standing beside him during this conversation. I could tell by the way he was looking that he genuinely felt bad about the situation and asked to speak with him directly instead of Baker. Jeremiah was incredibly kind and understanding and sympathized with the situation. He went and got the Operations Manager, Jarron, for me as well.
Jaaron handled the situation in a MUCH better way than Baker. The most important thing is that Jaaron listened to me. He had a sympathetic ear to the situation and apologized, and wanted to make it better if he could. He did what he could in his position to make us more comfortable in the situation and I respect that.
Overall, the woman was never removed. I dont think a person like Baker should be in a supervisory role and would make the strong recommendation that Jeremiah is given Bakers position because Jeremiah actually cares about people.
You cant control how people act when they drink, especially at a club, especially on New Years Eve. But as the employees in charge of the venue you CAN control how you respond to a situation and the more important issue of a woman assaulting my wife faced no consequences and continued laughing and acting a fool at the bar, even looking over at us and waving with her friend and laughing,
If you had a mother, sister, or wife that this happened to you would feel the same as me. Dont go here when this Baker is in charge, your safety will not be prioritized and you can expect no action to be taken if you or someone you care about is...

The bartender acted like she couldnât be bothered because my husband ordered a drink, he met a friend at the bar and asked to order a shot. She was very rude about it. She told me that my husband wasnât allowed to order from her again bc they were offended by her attitude. We moved down a floor to order another drink, they told us to order food we needed to go to the third floor. My husband was offended by her comment the lady from the rooftop and went to talk to a another bartender to complain and he said to just not go back upstairs which was insane, so we had to limit where we went in this bar. Then we spoke to a manger told him what happened and he said it was unacceptable and told us his name was Kyle and to go to the third floor to order some food at the bar that it is typically empty. We went to the hostess and told them that the manager Kyle said the bar would probably be our best shot to sit and to order some food and the hostess told us they donât have a manager named Kyle. At this point I was done, we werenât drunk it was literally the first bar we were attending for the night and I was already done with the first bartender I wanted to just go. This is the only bar I wanted to go to since itâs been open. We went over to Miranda Lamberts bar and the bartender told us they do have a manager named Kyle. How does another bartender in another restaurant know their manager and the person who actually works their doesnât. I am a huge Morgan wallen fan and drove all the way from Georgia and left my two kids to enjoy this experience my first time in Nashville to be completely disappointed in the experience. I wonât be going back just due to the service alone. I wish I had a better time there, the atmosphere was great but the service could have been better. Not everyone who goes there is drunk already. It was my only wish for my birthday and they completely just ruined it...
