I want to love this coffee shop. It ticks so many boxes. It's perfect during quiet weekdays and caters well to remote work. Couches, outlets, good coffee, good food, etc. The weekends, however, are a problem during the current pandemic. They don't enforce mask policies, at least not as much as they should for a space that gets so crowded. Often I stand in line 6 feet behind the person in front of me (per CDC recs) as person after person cuts through this gap without a mask on, and then the person behind me in line inevitably stands too close slipping their mask off to talk to their friend. So we're inside, without masks, less than 6 feet apart, and in a hotel where I can assume most people have been traveling recently. I go to other coffee shops and they have moved tables around to give people more space, have ropes up to direct traffic, and offer order ahead options to limit indoor time. Nothing beyond some hand sanitizer here.
These three stars are for the fantastic baristas who handle the crowd the best they can. They're always friendly, make great drinks, and have an abundance of patience. I just can't trust this establishment to take my health and safety seriously and will not be returning until heard...
Read moreOf course itâs an instagrammable cafe that happens to serve coffee at Graduate Hotel.
The Good:
You walk into the lobby, and immediately want to fire your interior designer for doing a sloppy job with your house. Thatâs how pretty everything is at Graduate Hotel.
The cafe hours are what dreams are made of. Theyâre always serving you finger food, coffee or cocktails đ
Food was great. Avocado toast and tater tots just đĽspecially the dip that comes with it.
The mid:
Coffee wasnât âblow your mind awayâ. Espresso shot was weak. I got the Latte with Rosemary Vanilla seasonal flavor and I couldnât taste any Rosemary in it, it was super subtle. If you do get coffee, avoid iced coffee, as it dilutes the flavor further for weak coffee.
The bad:
Thereâs no parking for guests, you either park at one of the paid spaces nearby or do valet.
Wifi wasnât strong at all. Itâs also not secured, they have lobby or guest network that doesnât require password. I wish they had secured network for guests.
Overall, itâs a great place for your gram game. If youâre in need of a strong coffee, I hope Iâm wrong and it was just a...
Read moreLooking at the reviews I expected more. People mentioned a good place to remote work, it is not. There is only one area to plug in which has a table barely big enough for a laptop to fit. The tiny table is about 2ft tall not to mention this is where people line up to order. If you expect privacy you wonât get it due to the whole line being able to view your work and invading the tiny space you already have. (edit went back a notice people were plugged into the long table, there are plug ins embedded in the table) I am staying the hotel so I thought it would be convenient to get breakfast here before work. Iâve tried it twice both times leaving quite a bit to be desired. The photo is the avocado toast with egg, I also ordered a coffee, 25$ later this is what it looks like. You are better off working from your room unless you have a full battery and I donât recommend...
