Summary: Crema is killing it! They are nailing the important part (the coffee, duh) but they’re also getting everything else right too. The parking is great (especially being so close to downtown), the seating is great, the food options are ok (but the coffee makes up for it LOL)
Order: Avocado Toast and Cuban Latte About: $15
Review: Crema coffee is honestly great, and they consistently nail it whenever I’ve been there. While parking could get a little challenging when they are totally slammed I’ve always been able to find a spot. They have tons of indoor and outdoor seating, they move super quickly, they are friendly and helpful and the coffee is always AMAZING every time I’ve been. My only critique would be their food seems a little overpriced for what you’re getting (specifically how much).
I to wake up at 1:30 AM to get on a flight to go to Nashville so as soon as I landed and got my rental car, I needed my drugs…..I mean, my coffee. I knew I’d liked Crema in the past and it was the closest cafe so I wound up here to to enjoy some coffee and get some work done. It was absolutely perfect for both. They have plenty of seeing, both inside and out, and they really moved their line even though it was so busy. I got their Cuban latte and really loved it. It definitely wasn’t a Cubano but it felt very inspired by on. It was like a slightly sweeter latte with a little bit more creaminess to the milk, it was very good and I would highly recommend it.
The only thing that I didn’t love honestly was the avocado toast. It was good, but for eight dollars I felt like I got a third of an avocado and one thin slice of toast with some micro greens and red pepper on it. It definitely tasted good but wasn’t very filling and definitely not something I’d go get again. I’d be opening to trying their pastries some time but mind just wind up sticking to their coffee. It’s so good, and the space feels so perfect that this is easily one of my favorite coffee shops...

I was able to get the ticket resolved after working with Crema directly — I’m grateful it was resolved and really appreciate their assistance
That said, because I really love this shop and what it does for our community, I sincerely hope a business I love — one that states on their website "we intentionally seek out and choose partners who share our commitment to quality, sustainability and a belief that business can do good" — will take a hard look at its partnership with this predatory parking management company. I’d love to feel good about returning someday, and that starts with Crema holding itself to the same high standards it expects from its coffee and collaborators.
[Original Review]
One of my favorite coffeeshops in town, unfortunately finally fell afoul of the predatory parking when leaving after getting held up with an unexpected work call 5 minutes (literally) to the tune of a $70 ticket.
I’ve visited the shop to sit at the window and work once a week for the past two years and sad to say today was probably my last visit. The coffee is always good though, some of the best in the city imo and have appreciated the great baristas (shoutout to Wes in particular who’s always been beyond kind and welcoming).
Empathize with the shop, our parking issues are a city wide issue and it’s a real crime these monopolies are allowed to exist and are certainly the true villain but I can’t support or recommend a shop where patrons are in danger of a ticket that costs 10x the price of your coffee when you visit, it's not worth the risk if/when...
Read moreGreat for quick visits, not my go to for remote work (no outlets anywhere, very slow WiFi). I would go here so much more often if there were outlets so instead I go elsewhere.
Food/Drink quality for price: fantastic, I enjoy the pour over selection. Avo toast is best in the state that I've found!
Atmosphere: modern, airy, friendly,
Noise level: loud she it's busy due to small space and hard materials that reflect sounds
Lighting: lots of natural light from large windows
Staff: super nice and easy going, usually give recommendations for pour overs
Cleanliness: very clean!
Inside Seating: 24 chairs (2 per table, can be moved around) 12 tables (best for 2 chairs, can't be moved) 14 stools at window bench (can be moved) 3 tall standing tables, for when it's super busy
Outside Seating: 28 outdoor chairs (can be moved) 14 outdoor tables (can be moved)
Outlets: 0 None! This may be their strategy to prevent visitors with lap tops from staying too long. This was common during COVID-19, but now it feels like they're discouraging long visits.
WiFi: Down: 4 Mbps Up: 3 Mbps Fine for browsing, not great for uploading files. This is another reason I don't go here for remote work.
Car parking: yes, 15 min to go spots and several paid spots ($7 for 3 hrs)
