It was our first time in Nashville and my two girlfriends and I were so excited to come to JT’s restaurant as I made reservations on August 22. Our reservation was at 9 and we arrived about 10 minutes early. Our table was not ready, so we were asked to wait at the bar & we enjoyed good cocktails & good company while waiting for our table. We waited about 20 minutes and we were then escorted to a perfect little booth table in the back in front of the kitchen. We sat together in the booth part of the table facing the band.
Something to note: My 2 girlfriends & I have been colleagues for about 5 years. We work in a remote environment, so our Nashville trip was planned to meet in person for the first time, enjoy Nashville & catch up with each other. We chose Nashville because it is central to where we each of us live. I live in Florida and one of my friends lives in Indiana and my other friend lives in Kansas City, Kansas.
We were having a wonderful time, engaging in great conversation, enjoying the live music, and at this time I think we were finishing up dinner. Suddenly Sean (sp?), a manager from the kitchen approached my friend from behind ( who was to the left of me) as I was sitting in the middle. He tapped my friend on the shoulder and said “excuse me, could you please move to the chair in front of you?” We were all taken back looking bewildered and she asked why…as we were ALL WONDERING WHY as he gave NO explanation. To be clear he asked my friend…a guest in your restaurant…to please move to the chair without an explanation.
When she asked why, he then proceeded to say to my friend “because when you swept your hair with your hand, your hair touched the guest next to you.” What??? Seriously???? We were in shock that he really said that to her. So my friend turned to the guest next to her and asked him if that bothered him and he laughed and told my friend that he never even noticed because they (a table of 6 or 8) were enjoying themselves as we were.
Sean (sp?) asked her again to move and my friend politely said no. He then said OK thank you and walked off. Our shock turned to anger and apparently this manager must have been watching us from his drones or hidden cameras because either he saw the looks on our faces or overheard our conversation because then he came back to our booth table attempting to apologize.
His half ass apology included back peddling saying to my friend he did not mean to offend her & asked her/us what he can do to make it up to us. Instead of asking what he can do he should’ve immediately offered to compensate her entire meal and cocktails, or offered some type of compensation OR said something similar to “My sincere apologies… This is what I will do for you…”versus asking the guest.
We also noticed the tone and mood of our waitress towards us changed after this happened.
Speaking of tone, if this manager’s tone and/or the delivery of his message was presented differently then MAYBEEEEEE my friend would’ve complied, but the way he handled it was unacceptable. He lacked simple customer service skills as well as common courtesy.
He ruined our experience for your first-time guests in your restaurant and first-time visitors in Nashville.
Perception is everything. Rather than making us feel this incident was discussed among your staff, your goal should be to strive to make us feel welcomed & special, versus uncomfortable &...

Located in the heart of Music City, this upscale gem has a rich history rooted in classic Southern hospitality, blending it seamlessly with contemporary sophistication. The ambiance is both elegant and inviting, making it the perfect spot for a special celebration like the one my wife and I enjoyed with our best friends, TJ and Michelle, to celebrate TJ's 50th birthday.
The night kicked off with some incredible appetizers that set the tone for the rest of the evening. The cornbread was perfectly moist and rich, a true nod to Southern comfort food, while the shrimp and burrata were a light and flavorful way to start our meal. As we moved to the starters, the wedge salad was a standout – fresh, crisp, and loaded with just the right amount of tangy blue cheese dressing. The rainbow sushi roll was also a hit, offering a beautiful array of flavors that paired wonderfully with the rest of our meal.
For our main courses, we went all out. The cowboy cut prime rib was expertly prepared, tender, and full of flavor, while the short ribs melted in your mouth and were cooked to perfection. The ribeye steak was rich and juicy, a true carnivore’s delight. Each dish was a testament to the high standards of the kitchen at 1230 Supper Club, and every bite was a reminder of why this restaurant is a Nashville favorite.
To top off the night, the staff surprised TJ with a birthday cake that was as delicious as it was thoughtful. The celebration wouldn't have been complete without such a sweet touch.
As if the food wasn’t enough, the live music truly elevated the experience. An 8-piece band performed a dynamic range of hits from the '70s through the early 2000s, creating an incredible atmosphere that had everyone tapping their feet and enjoying the moment.
In conclusion, 1230 Supper Club is the perfect destination if you’re looking to indulge in a fancy, upscale night out in Nashville. With its rich history, exceptional food, fantastic live music, and impeccable service, it’s a spot we highly recommend for any special occasion or simply when you want to treat yourself to an unforgettable evening. Read more🎼"I was on my suit and tie-ish, tie-ish, can I show you a few thangs?" Came to Nashville just to celebrate my girlfriend's bday. She wanted to go to a high-class bar/club/restaurant and landed her pretty little finger on Nashville, Tennessee at the 12/30 club. Needless to say, we planned a whole weekend around this club. After making reservations and catching a Lyft from the Placemakr condo we arrived at the club and were blown away. The atmosphere of downtown Nashville at night is equivalent to New Orleans bourbon street, with more room 😁.
"I can't wait to get on the floor good lookin'" We arrived about an hour early so we could pre-game with some drinks and shrimp cocktails. The decor was great on the rooftop and so were the waiters. The drinks were great, I don't really drink but I thoroughly enjoyed my "The Fifty-Fifty". We also had shrimp cocktails and my girl enjoyed it... 🍤
"As long as I've got my suit and tie I'ma leave it all on the floor tonight" After some time passed it was time for us to be seated. The waitress was amazing. We both wish we were able to sit in front of the live musicians that were playing, all I remember is literally sitting in the dark 🤷🏾♂️. We both spared no expense on the menu, we had:
For starters Sweet Cream Cornbread 4/5 This was great, I wish I could actually see the food 😁 Filet Mingon since they were out of the short ribs Entree Scottish Salmon* 4/5 😋 Bday Dessert Molten Butterscotch "Angel" Cake 10/5 - I might come back to Nashville just for this caked 🤤 Drinks Jalisco & Ginger - this drink single-handedly made me rethink life, in other words, this was made extremely strong. I do love ginger.. ☕
Long story short, I would personally give the place a 3/5, but since my lady enjoyed herself sooooooooooo much, that gains another point. So if you're looking for a good time, want to dress up, and spend a lotta money on food that you can't see, come thru. 🤩😬🙄😎
"All dressed up in black and white And you're dressed in that dress I like Love is swinging in the air tonight Let me show you a...
