Whiskey Bent Saloon — Restaurant in Nashville-Davidson

Edited - We visited Whiskey Bent Saloon on August 3rd 2025. The bar staff were great — friendly and attentive, as they have been in the prior 2 years we have visited — but this 3 visit, the band that night left a bad taste in our mouths.

Here’s what happened: we originally paid to have a member of our group sing a song. The first choice wasn’t the bands style or felt it wasnt mainstream enough, so they asked us to pick other options. We gave them new songs and dropped more money (bringing the total to $80+ paid) but instead of letting our friend sing, they performed one of the songs themselves — and then told us we’d need to pay even more if we still wanted our friend to sing. Throughout the night, they continued asking for more money from patrons or more song requests, even when other guests in the bar were saying, “Let this person sing” or “At least play the songs we’ve already paid for.” By the end, complete strangers were frustrated for us and our friends bucket list, know there was a health issue involved.

The General Manager did reach out afterward to apologize and confirmed this band has had similar complaints. We loved this bar! We were buying $9 bottled beer on our way down Broadway only to end up here and get TALLBOYS for $6!! We stayed the rest of the evening, and came back the next night and didn't leave until ready to go home. They might not be charging as much as the others for beer, but they are smart because I guarantee you they're selling more for a better price! The only complaint I have, which isn't the bar's fault, is that the live band one of the nights we were there was asking for song requests for $20. Newly married, and on our honeymoon, we had a song in mind. We venmo'd the band $20 and waited over an hour for our song while he played multiple songs for multiple people handing him $20's. My husband went up to him and asked abt our request, he said he doesn't sing that artist 😑, told me to pick a song by Brad Paisley. So I did. He said he doesn't sing that song. 😑 so I picked another. Same thing. Found it interesting that he could play every other request when the cash was infront of him. Should have just kept my $20 and...

Bartender had a bad attitude. At first she told me told figure out what I wanted and she'd come back. No reccomendations. No menu. Nothing. Second time I asked what her favorite drink was and she said she only drinks gin and tonic.....yuck! I ordered us 4 green tea shots instead. We drank them and went to a different bar ....on the way out I told her she should have a better reccomendation than a gin and tonic. She said I should have a better tip than zero. I thought to myself....i tip accordingly. You gave me zero reccomendations and were rude as heck, I'm not tipping. Tips are earned...not just given. I did not enjoy my time at whiskey bent saloon. We had one drink and left. Every other bar at the strip I tipped at least 40.00 at and we had at least a couple drinks at. I only had one drink at this bar and tipped nothing.
