Big John's Coffee Shop & Grill — Restaurant in New York

My coworker & I came in and ordered two cheeseburgers well done w/ fries and ended up waiting an hour for our food. We had both went over our lunch breaks and people coming in after us received their food before we did. We were very patient and polite when asking why our order was taking so long.Their excuse was they had a big catering order but I can't seem to see what that has to do with my transaction with the establishment. We had already paid in advanced, I knew if I had asked for a refund it would of been more of a headache than what its worth because I paid with my credit card. Had I paid in cash I would of instantly demanded my money back.They didn't even offer any type of compensation for our wait. The least they could of done was offer an appetizer, a small order of fries or a beverage for the long wait. But not even that.I will never go to or support this business again. This establishment has not only lost my business but also the business...

We live around the corner from Big John's and have been going here for over two years. The amount of work that gets done in their kitchen in beyond belief. These take-out guys have the operations of an entire diner hidden behind a small corner storefront with casual seating for maybe 12. Cinnamon rolls? Check. Waffles and scrambled eggs? Check. Caesar salad? Check. Linguini? Check. Lasagna? Check. Not to mention of course any sandwich you can imagine, burgers, fries, soup, chips, candy bars, a zillion different juices and sodas -- you name it, they have it here and the folks behind the counter are just about the nicest people you have ever met and will never shortchange you like in some delis. Everyone goes here. You will see hipsters, families, construction teams, taxi drivers you name it. They also do delivery and are finally open nights - I am about to call...

My coworker loved his burger, but the french toast was disappointing. I understand that it doesn't look like the picture but for 10.5 can I get more nutella? The bread is extra thick, but not even french toast. The bananas are sliced down the middle which looked weird and their is a thin, let me repeat, thin layer of nutella. For that price they should've atleast tried to imitate the picture they placed on their menu. I will not order from here again.

My co-worker who ordered the same thing mentioned that there wasn't even nutella in her french toast but chocolate syrup. I went back to my own which I haf set aside, opened it and saw that she was right. THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY NO NUTELLA IN MY NUTELLA STUFFED FRENCH TOAST. Did I just pay 10.75 +tax and tip for a .20 banana, bread and chocolate syrup? DO NOT WASTE...
