I’ll start by saying I don’t usually write bad reviews but this was such a wild experience, that writing this will set me free. This was a last minute spot for us and it started off ok considering our main requirement in that moment was that they had an available room for us. Also, I have done karaoke before… many many times, and — it’s pretty standard, like pizza. If you’re saying it’s bad… it must be BAD BAD. That was this place y’all.
To start: We usually like to stay for 2 hours when we karaoke. When we asked them if we could book two full hours, they were really weird about it and just said they’d come into the room to let us know. I thought maybe they just wanted to see if the crew after us was a little late or if other rooms opened up so I didn’t think too much of it at the time. Little did I know this was all part of their business model.
Business Model: They charge $40 per hour Additional required service fee charge of $20/person - (which means we had to buy food or drink even if we didn’t want to bc they’d be charging us that money per person regardless at the end). 15 minutes before your hour is up, they interrupt you to tell you you have 6-7 minutes left and you can extend 30minutes for $20 dollars but you also have to spend $10/ person service fee. (We declined). 3 minutes after they do this, they come back in and tell you your time is up (despite us having at least 10 minutes left of our full hour) and take away the iPad where you search for songs.
In the room: There were Multiple Interruptions They interrupted us (no lie) every 5 minutes. They were practically there the whole time with us in the room. The 4th time it happened and interrupted our song (again) we knew something was wrong here.
Don’t choose the YouTube Option: We did so we could pick any song we wanted and didn’t have to mess with their Korean system since we only had one hour and don’t know the characters too well. When we picked our first song, we noticed they had 150 songs already in the queue which made creating our own queue a lot more difficult then it needed to be. We asked one of the guys if there was a way to bulk clear it and apparently there wasn’t. So he stayed there… in the room with us… for at least 3 songs. At one point they deleted the song we were singing but we just continued on. We finally took the iPad back and removed the last few ourselves.
Takeaway: I’ve done Karaoke at least 10 times a year for the last 12 years and this place takes the cake for the very worst karaoke place yet.
Tl;dr: Don’t go here. It’s a scam. Save your money and find a better room. In New York, there are lots of other,...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of checking out Chorus Karaoke, what stood out immediately was the warm and inviting vibe. The folks at the karaoke were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure our group felt right at the place. Their dedication to customer service really made a difference, enhancing our overall experience. The rooms were not only spacious but also well kept. The sound and video equipment were top notch, delivering clear audio and lyrics on the screens. The song selection was clean, spanning both Korean and international hits, offering something for everyone, from classic tunes to the lastest top charts. One thing that truly made this place special was the sound proofing in each private room. This meant we could scream our favorite songs without worrying about disturbing other guests, creating intimate and comfortable space for us to have fun. Service was prompt and the food and drinks were a pleasant surprise. The menu featured some delicious Korean dishes such as the Spicy ramen, and the drinks were well made from the bar, adding to our overall enjoyment of the night. The highlight of the night, of course, was our singing session. The karaoke system was user friendly, and the staff were quick to assist if we had any questions. We had an absolute fun, with plenty of laughter and unforgettable moments in karaoke. Overall, Chorus Karaoke is a fantastic karaoke spot that combines exceptional service, well-maintained facilities, a diverse song library, and a vibrant atmosphere. Whether you're a karaoke pro or a newbie, this place offers best experience for everyone. I'm already looking forward to returning to chorus karaoke for another memories. I can't...

Do not book here.
My friend called a week in advance to ask about Chorus Karaoke’s drinking policy and to make a reservation. She was told drinks were not mandatory and that we could only book for one hour at a rate of $40.
When we arrived, we were informed of a $60 minimum ($20 per person for our group of three) that had never been mentioned before and is not listed on their website. Once in the karaoke room, a staff member stayed with us, pressuring us to order drinks. When we declined, we were told the $60 minimum for drinks or food was mandatory. At that point, my friend’s credit card was already held at reception, so leaving wasn’t an option.
The service itself was also disappointing. A staff member interrupted us twice during our final minutes, and our tablet was taken before our full hour was up. At checkout, tipping was automatically added to our bill without notice, leaving us no choice regardless of service quality.
We were then given a voucher for a “free drink” at the bar, which only applied to basic drinks. When we asked for a cocktail, the bartender said it would only be included if we left a review. It was obvious they were trying to secure positive reviews in exchange for drinks, which may explain the suspiciously high 5-star ratings on Google despite no one describing their actual experience.
Overall, this business relies on hidden fees, misleading policies, and pushy service. I would not recommend booking here under any...
