This place is bigger and the service wasnt any better. Celebrating my birthday and the service wasnt all that. As we got there, the manager was leaving. We had 3 snapple at $2 each and on bill was marked for 5 of them. The older Spanish guy with glasses not so friendly either. Plus we left him a really nice tip. I didnt notice till we left but it's ok. I believe in Karma, that wasnt cool. You keep doing this and your gonna be left without a job. Never came by to check on us or see if we needed anything. Never offered more bread or sauce. Nothing, was very surprised by that. We all said the other location had way better service. We didnt wanna ruin the evening with any coffee or anything so we went to a nice coffee shop in the area & that service was Fabulous. No smiles, friendliness or anything. It looked like they didnt even like their job. I always say, if you dont like your job, it will show. Just alittle advise, treat people the way you like to be treated esp, if your out with your family. Was trying to Express our company with the 3 sauces and the guy brought out 2. I had to ask for the third sauce, that's what this restaurant is known for. So from the beginning it wasnt cool. I hope with the extra add on, you think you got over but in reality just shows how not nice you are as a waiter. Not...
Read moreDesy's is downright awesome. We've been ordering delivery from here throughout the pandemic year and it has always been delicious. But, we ordered "Friday lunch" through Uber Eats today it was truly remarkable. Yep, they hit the home run out of the park. You can see the eclectic nature of our order in the photos. Sautéed shrimp and calamari with little nubbins of perfectly browned garlic and "melt in your mouth" sauteed green spicy peppers in a light butter/wine sauce, Giambotta (Hot sausage, chicken, potatoes, peppers, and onions.) and the classic old school potato and egg hero. First of all, excellent quality, all the way around, and portions that could easily feed 2, if not 3, people each. The Giambotta was addictive (liked it much more than the Scarpariello from a previous order - the the thin breaded chicken in the Giambotta remained remarkable moist and tender, while the boneless chunks in the scarpariello did dry out just a bit in the longish ride in the delivery vehicle to our house). I know the calamari and shrimp order is a little bit "out of consensus" but I just gotta say it was truly superb, a blend a wonderful flavors and very light, while still substantial. Run, don't walk, to this place. Addictive. I know I will be dreaming about this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDesyās Clam Restaurant in Brooklyn is an absolute gem and easily one of the best dining experiences Iāve had in New York. Their three signature red saucesāmild, medium, and spicyāare each uniquely flavorful and crafted to perfection, giving every dish a bold and memorable punch. Whether youāre in the mood for a gentle tomato sweetness or a fiery kick, thereās something for every palate. The staff and the owner are incredibly welcoming, making you feel like family the moment you walk in. The atmosphere is warm and unpretentious, and the service is genuinely top-notch.
The food here is unforgettable. The shrimp, chicken, and eggplant Parmigiana are all tender, perfectly breaded, and smothered in that amazing red sauce and melty cheese. The cheesy garlic bread is a mustācrisp on the outside, soft on the inside, and loaded with rich, garlicky goodness. Their meatballs are incredibly tender, savory, and clearly made with care. And to top it all off, Desyās serves what Iām convinced is the best cannoli in New York City: crisp shells, creamy filling, just the right touch of sweetness. I have probably been here 70 times and even had my engagement party here! this place is a...
