Last time I was there to have gopchang but they told me I have to wait an hour to get a seat so I said NO THANK YOU!
I called yesterday to see if they do reservations but no They don't do reservations! The person who talked to me on the phone was rude. All other places i know has reservations & this place doesn't! No body gonna want to wait an hour to get a seat!
My friend told me the food was good but worst customer service. She told me it was worth of try if you're in the area & like GOPCHANG. Probably the time she went was when they opened.
Yesterday my experience was great! I was on waitlist at 8:20pm. I had to wait 102 min and up. I got the table at 10pm. I was waiting for another 2 ppl to get here but I was too HUNGRY that I ended up ordering assorted gui.
The assorted gui had grilled small large intestine. It came with scallion, 2 piece of rice cake, one sweet potato. I honestly didnt like assorted gui.
I really enjoyed grilled beef intestine it was so good that I will definitely come back for more. Other place to have GOPCHANG it had smell to it that you dont want to eat it. But this place it was perfect for my taste!! Thumbs thumbs!!
Yesterday the workers was very polite, helpful and nice BUT... whenever I tried to call them over to my table few times it felt like they ignored us.
The workers need to be more attentive. Oh yeah online on Google they accept American Express Visa and Mastercard but in store they dont accept VISA CARD. Also they give you a discount if you pay in cash and it's only $10 off! It's not even 10% off JUST $10 OFF.
Overall will return next tim for GOPCHANG!

So yesterday I decided to stop by gopchang story again because I was so craving for it. My first visit was phenomenal but yesterday was not great as my first visit.
So let me explain what were not great on my second time visit.
First I was on the waitlist since 8pm and my arrival time was by 10:36pm but i got seated early than the time they have mentioned which was a good start.
Second I got seated next to bathroom where girls keep coming for bathroom. One girl was leaning on to the fence and keep pushing the table which I got angry from there.
I ordered 2 portion of beef intestine since I wasn't really fan of the combo. Later when my partner arrived we ordered a soup which was soybean paste stew!
The soybean paste stew really disappointment. I love soybean paste stew but this one I didnt like and i just wasted $13 on soup which I barely ate. The stew had a chunks of veggies than the soup. It tasted like Cheonggukjang.
The gopchang is really good but as you keep eating it feels greasy in your stomach. In that concept something is missing. For koreans we need to have some strong flavor to our food. They should offer some kind of Kimchi with gopchang.
Third the restaurant was cold. It felted like they want us to eat fast and leave. Last time I was there it wasn't cold...

Made a reservation, basically got in line online and arrived at the restaurant when there were 2 tables in front of us, so we walked in and let the girl know we are here, she checked our name in her computer and said to wait, table will be ready soon, fine we are waiting. (By the way this whole time we stayed right outside entrance door so she saw us this whole time). So we standing there and more time passes and they still donât call us, but instead we got the message our reservation canceled because we didnât confirm it. Lol really? We walked inside 3d time and showed it to them the message. And the girl look at us like she see us first time and telling us that we didnât reply the message we got, thatâs why our reservation cancelled. Like are you for real? We kept checking with you, you see us with your eyes, telling us table almost ready, and after play a game âidk who you areâ. And the male manager/waiter guy he also looked at us âdid you guys make reservation?â. Man you checked my name in computer yourself, why do you ask me this question. They keep telling us we had to press â1â to reply that message we got. But let me tell you, I used to go to this restaurant once a month, always get my reservation with google, when itâs my turn Iâm at the door and they give me table, I never reply on message I get, because I arrive at the door and let them know Iâm here, it always worked like this. Mishandling of table assignment: The hostess gave our table to another group who falsely claimed to be us. The server didnât bother checking their queue code, causing us to wait an additional 30 minutes. This was frustrating and entirely avoidable with proper management.
Rude and disrespectful staff: Upon being seated, we noticed the restaurant's policy of not allowing outside drinks. When we politely asked if there was a trash can to dispose of ours, the server snapped his fingers at us and rudely said, "Hurry up, hurry up," while pressuring us to finish drinking on the spot. This kind of behavior was unacceptable and made us feel humiliated.
Poor food quality: The fried rice, which used to be served nicely plated, was burnt this time. The beef tartare was still frozen when served, with ice crystals inside. Worse, the raw beef was not fresh, which caused food poisoning for my friend.
Lack of attentiveness during payment: When it came time to pay, we waited 15 minutes, repeatedly waving to get the attention of a server, but no one came to take our bill and card. When we finally flagged someone down and voiced our dissatisfaction with the service, explaining why we couldnât justify leaving a tip, the server became extremely rude and unprofessional. He rolled his eyes at us, mocked us, and arrogantly said, "If you got food poisoning and diarrhea, you need to prove it to me." He also refused to provide his name when we asked and sarcastically remarked, "This isnât a fine dining restaurant. If you want good service and food, go to fine dining." This statement was baffling because, at over $50 per person, the restaurant charges like a premium establishment and should uphold decent standards for food and service.
Environment: The restaurant was smoky, with poor ventilation, and there was no closet to store coats or bags.
Overall, this was one of the most disappointing dining experiences Iâve ever had. Between the appalling service, poor food quality, and disrespectful attitude of the staff, I cannot recommend this place to anyone. Save your time and moneyâthere are far better...
