If I'm going to spend six hundred dollars on a dress, the employee should be more worried about the sale than the placement of his dog's leash. From the beginning, this experience was a bust. After a three hour trip, my two friends, father, and I arrived at B&B Couture. There was scotch tape holding a poorly written note saying "B&B Couture - top buzzer" in order to get in. Understandable that with thousands of dollars of dresses, you'd want them protected. However, maybe an investment in a professional looking card with the logo on it instead of handwriting that looks like that of a five-year-old would be a better first impression of the store. We rang the buzzer and went upstairs, followed by an awkward and almost inaudible greeting from a man in sweatpants, smelling of fresh cigarette smoke and his dog bouncing around the store. "Don't mind him", he said. Over the blaring music he was playing, I attempted to tell him that I'm was for a dress for a formal winter event, then proceeded to show him a picture of a dress from a Pinterest board that my friends and I had put together. He then goes on to say that that dress is sold out but he'll order it for me, great. However, I told him that "I have more dresses I'd like to look at if that's okay?". He seemed bothered by this but obliged as I showed some of the other pictures of dresses to him. He stated that this was going to be a lengthy process because I didn't have the ISBN number of the gowns, which was understandable as my parents are in retail. However, after hearing him say that statement for the sixth time, I was overly annoyed. He pulled a dress that I had liked in a size 6 (which is nowhere near my actual size, a 2) as well as another one that he "assumed I'd like". At this point, I was beyond frustrated. He carried the dresses to the fitting room and I was astonished to see that THERE WAS NO PLACE TO HANG UP THE DRESSES. Seriously? Do you want over a THOUSAND dollars worth of dresses on the ground? Not to mention that dressing rooms at Macy's have more room than the one in this boutique, where I'm supposed to be trying on massive gowns. At this point, I was beyond done with this place. Meanwhile, my father moved the man's dog leash from one of the seats so that he and my two friends could sit on the 80s looking sofa/chairs and wait while I tried on the dresses. The sales associate glared at him, picked up the leash, and walked away. Alright, I was done. I picked up the two dresses what were on the floor of the dressing room and told my friends they were too big. I then went to my father and told him that this experience was terrible and if we were going to spend six hundred dollars on a dress, this is not the kind of service I would expect to receive. My father then told the man that I had my heart set on the first dress and we proceeded to leave. I will NEVER recommend my friend or worst enemy to go here. Overall, would I have gotten a dress for six hundred dollars? Yes. However, due to his lack of interest and poor sales skills, I decided against it. Sorry, try better next time. Oh wait,...
Read moreI just happen to come across this place one day while I was walking on the streets. I looked up and saw an amazing dress in the window. I was on the hunt for a dress for my mother for a gathering we were having with the family. I went inside and met the most incredible and very handsome man. His name was Blair. I told him that I wasnât looking to buy anything at the very moment because I donât have my mother with me. He said walk around look and see if you find anything. He was unbelievably kind to me his staff was amazing and very helpful. We started talking about fashion and the beauty industry. because I was an owner of a hair salon. We collaborated on hair and evening gowns for an event that I was hosting. Blair gave me an unbelievable price for the dresses. I ended up coming back with my mother. My mother fell in love with almost every single dress. She always tells me that she feels like a queen when she arrives at this boutique. Blair and all of his staff are the most genuine people I have ever came across in a Dress boutique. Their dresses are out of this world. From short to long to long, sleeves to no sleeves, to tea length dresses, simple looks too extravagant red carpet evening gowns Blair has it all!! (But for real) Every time I come in which is quite often because I have a lot of events I bring a client,a friend, or a family member. We are in this boutique for hours trying on numerous of different dresses. I have never had an experience where they allow me to try on as many dresses as I needed just to find just the right one. Most people start getting annoyed if you try on more than three or four dresses because they feel like theyâre not making the sale. This boutique does not care about that. They truly care about their clientele looking and feeling stunning. Because of their generosity and theyâre fabulous dresses I have purchased many. I will definitely be coming back to this location anytime I need a fresh look. Theyâre always up-to-date they have every size possible. Check out their Instagram! Always new arrivals! They have from the double zero all the way to a size 26. This is a no judgment dress shop. Blair carries many different designers in this shop and because of the versatility in dresses you need to go there just to look fabulous. Do not worry about the size because some designers run very small and some designers run very large. My mother is a size 8! And honey..... my mom was trying on dresses from a 2-12! Itâs about the designer and the make of the dress.Itâs not about the number on your tag itâs about how amazing these dresses make you look on your body.believe me when I say itâs all about the dress not the number! I will be back over and over again! Thank you so much Blair and to his amazing team!! Canât wait until...
Read moreMy daughter and I went here prom dress shopping, and here are my bottom line observations: It's kind of a nondescript location. So don't look for a big sign naming the store. Simply go by the address and go up to the 5th floor (4th or 5th, can't remember fully). I am a man that has never gone prom dress shopping before so I can't say if they have a huge number of dresses or not relative to other stores. So I will simply say, they have wide selection of sizes with approximately 10 - 15 or so dresses for each size. The women in the shop were very nice and eager to help you. You can tell they have some type of incentive beyond hourly pay for you to buy, because they have that hustle salesman type behaviors. Things like... "ohhhhh you look soooo good", "that's the dress for you", "you can easily get that altered", were comments of the day. You could hear them saying those comments to everyone who tried on a dress. "Ringing cowbells if someone said they were going to buy a dress." So I would STRONGLY advise you have knowledgeable counsel with you when you go. Both because of the aforementioned and what I'm about to mention. They are REDICULOUSLY paranoid about you taking a picture of anything - unless you have decided to buy the dress. To the point where I was going to leave the store because, the guy (I guess the manager) comes from the front of the store RUDE AS SH@ saying " It's not a back and forth" when I asked why is it that I can't take a picture (of a dress they said could easily be altered in the back that I was trying to confirm said "ease" by someone not there with me. Again, I have no idea about these things and was merely trying to take a picture of a section of the dress in the back which would've needed altering. I was not trying to take a full picture. Further, they have a freaking website with the dresses on it. But the guy was rude as sh@ and had the attitude of "you can leave". Which I was very much about to do until an older shorter lady came and pulled me away from him, calmed me down and showed me what she was talking about. To be clear, the reviews you see about how rude they are, I have no doubt it's relating to the guy at the front and they are TRUE! He is the one costing them 1.5 stars for me because he was incitefully rude! Particularly given how this is not some low budget store. Cost! They are very high. The dresses in the shop seem to be a little higher than what you see on line so a strategy my be to come to the shop, try on and make notes, then see if the same dress can be bought online for less. My daughter ultimately fell in love with a different dress and once I saw that darn beautiful smile of hers.... well I walked out the store...
