This review is long overdue but this situation was around Feb-April 2025. I wouldn’t recommend this place for laser hair removal. I know I got a promotion for my sessions but then again you get what you pay for. For the first appointment, the machine was not working and I had to come back. They tried to compensate me by giving me an additional session free. When I did come back for my first official session, the esthetician didn’t even know what I was going for and what I discussed in the consultation. It was disorganized. I know I came late 10 minutes for my first session but the machine had to be warmed up which took an extra few minutes. So technically she took part of my minutes and was very quick on the session. It was suppose to be 45 minutes for underarms and full legs but was like 15 minutes. That esthetician is no longer there. Thank God she looked like she didn’t like her job. From there on, the next esthetician was nice. However, it is very quick and they don’t take the whole minutes you are scheduled for. They don’t offer to shave the parts you missed not even for an additional fee. They don’t clean you before doing laser you do it on your own and my first visit I wasn’t offered glasses for the laser. Also, the space they have for the laser isn’t very clean. They are money hungry. If you come late, they will charge you on the exact 15 minute mark. You don’t even get a chance to explain nor was I told that management changed. I had signed a second form on one of my visits but I didn’t get a chance to read it fully because I was in a hurry nor was I provided a copy of it when I asked for it afterwards. Also, the elevator does not go up unless they allow you in. They have a button to accept the elevator to go up to their floor. So if you ever want to talk to them in person for an issue they will not allow. You have to email management and wait for a long time to get it resolved. I never resolved my issue because after only paying three sessions of the 6 package promotion, I no longer wanted to go. I just wanted to do my third session but they didn’t allow me to and I was going to be charged the full session for all three. They didn’t even occupy all the minutes in the sessions for me to pay the first two in full. That part was never in the agreement. It only said if the package was paid in full but I only paid half and wanted to use that half. Plus they charged me $50 for being late and there was no leniency like in other places.
Response: For the first appointment I did call the office to make sure it was ok to come at a later time. I was aware of the no show policy hence is why I called to make sure it was fine to come later but I wasn’t reiterated about the policy. Technically the office knew I was coming in so they can warm up the machine. For the rescheduled session, the esthetician is supposed to know beforehand what is being done or at least confirm it. She didn’t even know what I had discussed in my consultation&said the toes wasn’t included when in the consultation I was told yes. The time spent on my session was very quick&minimal doesn’t matter the size of the person. At my current laser they actually spent their time to make sure I’m ok with pain which actually took the 45min to 1hr because they care about their customers comfortability. Here you have to endure the pain because it’s done fast. Also, I didn’t mention the esthetician treated me badly and didn’t allow questions on my aftercare. I was new to laser. I wanted to cancel from there but decided to continue to try. Also, the cubicles aren’t very clean the floor wall are dirty. The only thing they clean is the machine and change the paper on the bed. My current laser place cleans much better. I can tell a difference. I asked for the new policy I signed because I didn’t see it in the profile. I asked for it due to the packaging. Read moreI rate my experience 1/5 overall. Only reason why they are receiving a 1 and not a 0 is because of the front desk receptionist, who was extremely professional and kind to me. However, the esthetician who worked on me, her name is Rita (Margarita) was TERRIBLE and does not have any customer service skills, whatsoever. I purchased a Groupon for Three Laser-Lipo Sessions w/ three Ultrasonic Cavitation treatments. I have received Laser Lipo in the past at a Medspa in Midtown, so I am well aware of what the service entails. However, when Rita was asking me what was the reason for me receiving the service, I explained to her why I was getting it and she immediately told me that I was wrong for picking that service and I should have picked the Cryotherapy Fat Freezing service for what I wanted to acheive. Her tone was very condescending when she spoke to me. I explained to her that I received this service in the past from another medspa and have received good results. She continued to tell me that "I'm not trying to sell you a service, I'm just letting you know you picked the wrong service for what you want." So I took my phone out to look at my Groupon to see what exactly did I purchase and she told blatantly told me to put my phone away because she's in the middle of talking to me. I didn't even take my phone out to be rude, I just wanted to see the services I purchased to make sure what she was stating added up. She then continues and states that "in order to see the results you want, you need 12 sessions but you should know that right?", which again, is not true because in the past I only needed 6. She then continues to put the device on me and kept it on me for 30 minutes. With laser lipo, you are supposed to feel your stomach contracting with the pads on. I did not feel a single thing but just warmth. This spa needs to better explain their services on groupon before potential customers purchase, as customers will expect to receive a certain service and they end up not. I was under the assumption that I was receiving 3 treatments of Laser Lipo, with 3 treatments of Cavitation. They only put those pads on me for 30 minutes. I didn't even receive the other service that was in my groupon. Also, when Rita went ahead and took another client to perform laser hair removal (I can hear outside of the rooms as the walls are pretty thin) and she was speaking with that customer pleasantly. I am not sure if they are biased about their customers and treat customers who pay full price for services better than Groupon holders, but that is ridiculous. Read moreMy goodness - what a truly horribly staffed place this is. Ruby the receptionist and some person called Julia - once they start talking, they just don’t stop. Not only are they rude and disrespectful, they are downright racist and discriminatory and I’m truly shocked by their disgusting attitude.
I had a simple issue that I wanted to resolve - I had purchased a Groupon for a wrong treatment by mistake and I wanted to switch to the right treatment. I was also fine with paying the difference in cost if any but I needed those details from them.
I tried calling them last year and got no response, went over there twice and they had some construction work going on so their spa was inaccessible so I left my number with them but they never called me back. I went there again a few days ago recently and Ruby refused to let me speak to Julia though she was literally right there and available. I left my number with her to call me back so I can switch the Groupon and as expected - nobody called me back for 3 days.
Today I was sick of waiting so tried calling them back to get the details so I called them and again - same story. Julia kept speaking over me and arguing and raising their voice with absolute nonsense. I didn’t even have an issue with purchasing another voucher but if the lady would just stop arguing unnecessarily and listen to what I was asking, this would be an easy 5 minute call. But of course that was not the case. This was such a bizarre experience.
Finally, they said they will not be doing any treatments for me and they will keep my entire money even though I have not taken any sessions with them. They also started speaking in some other language (not English) which I couldn’t understand and I literally had to tell them it was disrespectful and to stop doing that. At that point the lady hung up on me.
If this is not the sheer definition of stealing someone’s money, I really don’t know what is. When I tried calling them back, they stopped taking my calls.
