Kawa Sushi — Restaurant in New York

If youre gonna read a review, read this one.

Nothing special, biggest thing for me was service- which was not what I was expecting since every review here claims their service is amazing. My one issue was with the lady working the register. Her and the employees like to talk about the customers in Japanese, not too slick.

The moment we finished our food she placed that check right in front of us. I first thought this was for efficiency, but it truly felt like she just wanted us out asap. Paid using apple pay and didn't tip because honestly, the very obvious comments and the fact that it was clear she didn't want us in there for one more second was enough. She saw we didn't tip and goes "Oh that doesn't include tip by the way." LOLLL... ok! Ended up tipping in cash because we're way too nice.

Oh and they didn't say goodbye to us when we left because of that, and we were sitting right in front of them. The place is extremely small, just...

This was literally the worst sushi I’ve ever eaten. I ordered to go and it was ready pretty quickly so picked it 5min after it got ready. However, it tasted like it was sitting out all day. The avocado was slimy and the fish tasted weird. I literally ended up throwing more than half away ($50 worth of sushi which is so sad because I was so excited for this) because I was scared I would get food poisoning. The only edible thing was the edamame. Literally spend your money...
