Im not from new york, I barely visit, when I do I love to try the food. I try and pick places where locals eat. I wasnt looking, we just stumbled in and ordered some food on the assumption that anywhere that can afford the rent has to be good (sometimes this doesnt play out). Anyway, it was great. Its a tiny place, busy, clean, the prices matched the quality of the product. They had tons of fresh pizza ready to go and a wide selection, probably afforded by the sheer number of people passing through. Read more🍕 Made In New York Pizza We went to try the famous Joe’s Pizza near Times Square but I swear the queues were miles and miles long. We’re not wasting our limited time here queuing hours for a God damn pizza slice. Anyway we found this little gem of a gaff on the way back to our hotel. Massive pizza slices for 5 dollars which is less than 4 quid. Great toppings, HUGE, did the job. Read morePepperoni pizza badly burned the roof of my mouth and my tongue last night. Some of the oil from it also burned my hand. I had even let the slice cool down before I started eating it, but the pizza was still dangerously hot. I think they may have reheated hot pizza that was straight out of the oven, which seems plainly unnecessary.
Anyway, beware of eating here! It seems like a gamble between reheated slices that have been sitting out for a long time or getting burned by fresh pizza. I hope my mouth heals quickly and I can eat solid...
