Listen, I don’t know what kind of culinary sorcery this place is doing in the kitchen, but the food here is so authentic and delicious it made me wanna slap my mama, her mama, and then call customer service to report myself. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the warmest, most welcoming vibe—like stepping into your favorite tía’s living room, but with better lighting and fewer passive-aggressive comments. The ambience? A+ comfort with just the right amount of “I might start dancing after this third horchata.” Let’s talk food. I took one bite of the chicken nacho fries and blacked out. When I came to, I was holding a sope in one hand and sobbing into a plate of nachos with joy. The flavors are so bold and real, I’m 87% sure abuela herself is back there stirring the pot with a chancla for extra seasoning. And the service? Top tier. The staff was friendlier than a golden retriever on its birthday. This place fed me for a couple days as I stayed at the hotel down the street. It was a very nice experience. Tacos Dorado with a small Mamas salad was satisfying, and it came with a side of rice and beans. The squeeze of lime on this fresh salad was perfect, don't ruin it with dressing. Second visit was Nacos Con Carne with the chipotle pulled chicken. Both dishes were an equal balance of frito y fresco. I ordered the classic margarita both times, once with salt rim and once with spiced rim. My only critique may be that the margs could be a wee bit bigger. But who wouldn't wish that? Mama Lupita's is where my family reserved and held my Bridal Shower yesterday. It was perfection. They have a pack patio with a tent that kept us perfectly shielded from the sunshowers. The menu was affordable, flavorful, and made fresh when we arrived. Guacamole with fresh chips, roasted pork, rice, and beef and chicken tacos were among some of the amazing options.The owners kept coming to the back to make sure we had everything we needed. Sangria and Mimosas kept all of the guests super happy. And to top it off, a peach tres leches cake that was homemade and AMAZING. We will absolutely be back for all of our future...
