I can't begin to express how THRILLED I was to find Throw Me A Bone... specifically their groomer, Jackie. She was the first groomer to understand & deliver my requests for grooming my Australian Shepherd. I had, previously, taken him to a place that shall not be named ( on 11th ave) where one owner dragged him choking instead of using a lure to build trust, then, the other owner screamed at me on the phone to come get him even though I was told to wait for their call & then screamed at me again when I arrived & tried to bump the price AGAIN even though the price for grooming him had been bumped & settled as his price after his first appointment. This was all in addition to NEVER understanding my sanitary shave requests and more. My dog began to balk at going in their store & couldn't wait to get out afterwards. This is all to say how delightful it was to discover the oasis of calm & competence at Throw Me A Bone. They know their stuff, they know dogs & how to treat them properly. with love and respect. It's so reassuring to know that your best friend is in good hands. And guess what... my dog is happy to go there. PS. We truly cannot say enough nice things about Natalie our dog trainer from Throw Me A Bone. From our initial consultation I knew we were in the best hands. As a new dog owner I was very nervous about training even though I knew my dog Brinkley needed it. She made me feel actually excited about the training and what might be possible for Brinkley to learn. From the first time she came over she was encouraging and didn’t make us feel insecure about things we knew Brinkley needed help with. The notes and tips on training we received after every class were SO thorough and beyond helpful. We knew exactly what we needed to work on to help him improve and again felt excited to show Natalie his progress after his homework weeks. Truly could not find enough nice things to say about the experience. We’ll soon be exploring day care for Brinkley and because of our experience with Natalie there’s no question of where...

I can not recommend these guys more... I had just gone back to work in the office and I wasn't sure what I was going to do...I literally considered not taking a new job. And TMAB - like a miracle - showed up in my building. The owners Adam and Mike are amazing... and Natalie is fantastic... my dog Oliver is a stray and is very very nervous around new people ...they took the time needed to let him feel safe...especially Mike - who easily waiting 2 weeks for him to stop barking at him...and now he is in love ...at night when we pass the door to Throw me a Bone...he goes towards the door... tail in the air... I have to say no boo boo... outside... ha! Very sweet team and you can see how much they love animals. They are also very flexible, and reliable... I have a crazy schedule and they pivot easily....
