Halal Food Cart — Restaurant in New York

Was walking towards the river for a nice evening with my gf. We stopped here to get food and to enjoy on Pier 84 at the tables. We ordered ONE chicken over rice and 2 bottles of Gatorade - $29 - $20 for the chicken over rice & $4.50 for each Gatorade. I live in Hell’s Kitchen so this was a nonsensical price to pay for a food truck - when I asked to confirm that $20 (TWENTY) was correct he said yes - and once food is made then no refunds - I am the bigger fool for paying it but definitely avoid this guy is my opinion. (Side note it was Sunday evening just as the 9th Avenue food festival was about to finish, so a lot of tourists had made their way towards the river - clearly this guy was taking advantage of this - I’m disappointed in myself for paying it a day...

Huge fan of Halal trucks but not this one outside of grand central. 8$ for chicken over rice that was half the portion sized of your standard 6$ chicken over rice at the majority of Halal carts. Rice has no seasoning or added spices you can visably see from other halal trucks. He covered my meal with white sauce that was spoiled and hot sauce (which i did not want but wasnt asked) usually other trucks throw in a few fries/falaffel, pickels/ or peppers on top of your protien over rice but not this guy! Expect half a containers worth...

Food was ok. $7 for chicken over rice. But the guy who works in there was obnoxiously unkind. And he tried to give the food another guy, who came and ordered after me, before I got my food. I was standing right in front of him. Don't know why he did it but I felt bad and ignored for no reasons. So I didn't leave any tips and won't come here ever again for sure. Bad...
