Very disorganized. Once you enter the restaurant no one is there to greet you or sit you. A table server came after sitting a couple in a 4 seater table and told us we were next once a table opens and told us to wait at the bar. Meanwhile I noticed there were more table servers going up to people coming into the restaurant and telling them they were next for a table . The servers were not communicating with each other. Our original server came and reassured us we were next once table was cleaned. We sat down at the bar and waited. The table was cleaned and we sat down. Another table server came out of no where and told us this wasn't our table he promised other people that just came in the table. We told him we were promised the next table by another server and to please call him over to discuss it with him. He did not want to hear it. He told us to get up and we had to wait for another table that could sit 2. Meanwhile there were no 2 seaters. There were 4 seater tables and 2 people were sitting. We pointed that out to him but again he did not want to here it. We asked him how long we had to wait he said maybe 5 mins or more he said he couldn't say. He became angry at us and very rude! We again tried to tell him to get our original server. He told us he was the head honcho of the place and told us he will not allow anyone to serve us if we stayed sitting at the table the other waiter promised. We had no choice but to leave the establishment. What ever happened to admitting there was a misunderstanding and apologizing and rectifying the problem so it never happens again instead of losing customers. It's true losing 2 customers so you can make more tips or money from 4 is a good business sense. But good hospitality goes a long way!! . Very very disappointed in the way we were treated by the...

Came with some co-workers to get a lunch to go. Their main draw is a brick oven for really good pizza (full disclosure - my company had ordered pizza from them in the past - delicious). Didn't get off to a good start because we tried to find their menu online to save time when we got there. But they have menus on multiple online order sites along with their own online ordering website which is separate from their main website. Decided to just go there and figure out what's what.

When you walk in, you get tricked into thinking you're in some narrow alley in Italy lined with outdoor restaurant seating. The place is illuminated with old fashioned street lamps with lit globes on top. The tables have red and white checked covers. Charming, but not fancy (eg, not a first date kind of place). The servers were all pleasant and someone took our orders. We ended up waiting for what felt like a long time, commenting how busy the place was without being overly busy.

I got the mild sausage with broccoli rabe and parmesan sub. The sandwich was very good. The hero roll was softened from the heat but still a nice and chewy. The sausage was chopped up so it stayed within the bitter broccoli rabe nicely. There were little flecks of parmesan nestled in between too. I got the mild but they also have spicy sausage too. A word about the fries. You get a surprisingly large round to-go tin filled with freshly fried fries with a light sprinkle of salt, parsley, and parmesan. They were really tasty and perfectly crunchy. You can opt for a house salad but, this is the way to go.

Definitely coming...

we went to Saluggis on Valentines day. We are locals and always enjoy a good time when John is there. He loves to make us laugh. We went there for Valentines day looking forward to a romantic dinner together. not only did they ignore me for almost whole hour went by before they acknowledged me, I saw a heavy set guy putting candles in every table when it came to mine he put my candle in the table to my left which already had a candle.he totally ignored me when I asked if someone can please take my order. I was treated like a second class citizen not like a born and raised citizen of The United States of America. No one there looked at me or took my order. after about 40 minutes I flagged down one of the guy behind bar which acknowledged me finally. My husband walked in saw my distress with several customers and asked what happened between tears I told him my dilemma. One customer bought me a drink because she witness my situation, the so called acting manager didn't charge me my only beverage but charged me my food knowing I sat there and cried. MY Valentines dinner was shot thanks to the , employees at Saluggis. I thank God for John who treats us like family!!!! How would you feel if you received the...

This is a great place. Their menu is absolutely delicious. Every single item they offer from appetizers to pizza or other main courses- it’s all so good. This is where you can find a pizza to die for that has Brussels sprouts and pancetta or bacon and the perfect cheesy pizza. Penne vodka.... YUM.... Pink pizza.... perfection and kids love it. Their fries are perfectly delicious. They know acknowledge my kids with delight each time we are there and they just love that. They are the most kid friendly restaurant I’ve ever experienced. They let my little guy hand the wait staff the credit card to pay the bill, and take the receipt. It’s a nice neighborhood place that offers great service and such a kind and friendly environment. Great family place with good seating and room for a stroller. The only time I’ve ever been upset with Saluggis is when I have ordered on seamless. My favorite thing to get here is the spinach salad with blue cheese and pancetta... when I order it in seamless the delivery is wrong every time. But this salad as well as the Italian chickpea salad are just delicious.

I ordered here because I was really craving pasta and their pasta looked really good, especially their Penne alla Vodka since it seems to be there most popular dish. So I place my order and decide to add a calzone on a whim. When I ordered it was close to the end of the night. When I received my order and tried my Penne alla Vodka with meatballs it was the driest pasta I have ever received. I assumed that it may have been because it was the end of the night and they ran out of sauce. I called to ask for replacement and was met with a combative man who said when it left it was fine, and that no he would not replace the dish even on another day. This is after I stated that I would bring the dish myself after paying for delivery. He didn't care how the pasta was delivered and said that that's how they prepare it and I just don't have to order from them next time. The one star, since that's the lowest I can give would be for the edible calzone.
