May May Kitchen — Restaurant in New York

I've been patronizing May May Chinese restaurant for over 25yrs but last week was the final straw for me. My family stopped ordering from them a while ago and they were trying to encourage me to do so all along. The quality of the food has gone downhill over the yrs and they're always raising their prices. For what?? I purchased my favorite dishes, the shrimp mei fun and shrimp w/broccoli and they were both disgusting. The shrimp mei fun had a load of noodles and barely any shrimps. The shrimps were very small and uncleaned in my food with those black vein lines in them. This was not the 1st time my order wasn't enjoying. Who wants tiny shrimps and with poop in them in their food ugh. The fried rice hasn't been authentic in yrs and its always prepared sticky. Also if you have an order with sauce in the tray delivered to you, be prepared to see most of the sauce leaked inside the bag because the delivery guy does NOT handle customers orders with care. I honestly don't understand why the community continues to support this place because the staff is also rude. They will try to cheat you out of your change so ppl calculate your orders but they will absolutely NOT let you go if you were even 5cts short. So why give them even 1ct more of your money. Most of the Chinese restaurants charges tax unlike May May but that's ok because I rather pay a little more for quality fresh tasty Chinese food and larger shrimps that's supposed to be in my orders that include shrimps. Sooo...

!!!!!!!!ROACHES ROACHES ROACHES ROACHES !!!!!!!! This restaurant is infested with roaches. I ordered Chicken & Broccoli with white rice , Chicken wings and steamed dumplings on Tuesday 12/26/23 @ 5:50pm. I started with the chicken broccoli it was great!! NEXT: Steamed dumplings was opened up and a large cockroach ran out of the dumpling bowl container. I am horrified !!!!! I gave this place a second chance after having bad service prior and they failed!!! They keep their precooked chicken wings on a half pan on the floor!! That should’ve told me right there to not eat anything from here !!!! I promise on all that’s holy , I have contacted the D.O.H. (Department of Health). I come here for lunch very often and they always get upset when I ask to add something to my order but once I acknowledge I'm paying extra then it's ok I guess some people come in expecting free things I'm not sure. I usually get the vegetable lo mein and it's always extra oily as are the fries. The fried rice is great as is the fried chicken. Seating is limited but usually available as there usually not a big crowd in there. Compared to other restaurants it is on the cleaner side but also more costly not sure why maybe it's just the location some places give a free soda with an order of $9 - $13 this place you have to spend $21 I'm. Not sure who spends $21 and wants one free soda I'm sure if I spent $21 I'd order a 2 liter or at least two sodas already. Overall you won't find too many good tasting places and this is...
