I used to go to this I used to go to this pizza shop a lot and also order it for delivery, but I stopped going there for a while due to sanitary reasons. I went again after a long time not going, And realized why I don’t like to go to that pizza shop. Let me start off with they are really kind in there, But the woman who works in the front she’s just so nasty like sanitary wise. I pay in cash, She touches the money and then hand me my change, and after touching the money, she cleans the counter where you make the pizza at With her hands, let me point out. She still hasn’t lost her hands after dealing with the money nor does she use gloves to deal with the money. So as she’s wiping everything down with her bare hands, she starts touching one of the Sicilian pies with the meat with her hands Both hands brushing around the meat. I guess trying to make us spread more and still hasn’t washed her hands after wiping the table down with her hands no rag, just her hands, So I already ordered my pizza and I’m currently eating it as I’m watching her do all these stuff. Then someone else pays cash She deals with that, and then starts dealing with the food again still hasn’t washed her hands. And I’ve saw her do that multiple times and that’s why I stopped going there because she’ll literally touch the pizza with her bare hands after touching everything around it mind you at that point her hands are filthy dirty. The owner needs to check that because I’m actually about to call the department of health. And I’ve never done that, but she is so unsanitary that it really grossed me out and I won’t ever in my life eat pizza...
Read moreIf you value your life and health I implore you, don't eat here! I was food poisoned here a few days ago. An entire night of projectile vomiting and diarrhea.
We ordered a pie half pepperoni for a friend, mushrooms and onions for me. He didn't eat mushrooms only I did, so we hypothesized the mushrooms had to be the problem since it's the most fragile food on my pizza.
It was definitely that pizza cuz I hadn't eaten anything else since that morning. Within 3 hours of eating the pie I was bent over the toilet in agony.
My family is in the restaurant biz so I didn't want to do this review, I called to speak to owner to alert them and hopefully they could rectify problem before they sicken more customers.
Instead the woman on the phone chose to defend integrity of the pizzeria as if I was lying. If they had used canned mushrooms it would mean it's not their fault, reports of canned mushrooms with toxins were reported going around in NYC.
But she doubled down on their integrity and said they only utilize fresh mushrooms. Which means it's absolutely the establishment's fault.
She tried to make amends by offering a free pie but the last thing I want is another shot at death ☠️ I only wanted them to fix situation. If it had been my friend who is a diabetic and fragile health it could've killed him.
She took down my number and said an owner would get back to me but that never happened. So I had to do this review to warn others.
I don't like to do bad reviews cuz I know the restaurant industry is tough, but this place is dangerous, I should probably notify the...
Read moreThere are so many good pizza places in the Village. Do not go here until they FIX something. They need a pizza chef! Yuck! 🤮 First time trying this place tonight. Ordered 1 regular and 1 Sicilian slice to compare to what I usually get at East Village Pizza, Iggy’s, even Marinara (only because it’s in my building). Both pizzas were undercooked. They used non-cupping, thick sliced, bland-tasting pepperoni. There was zero char on the pep. Greasy AF. WAY too much cheese - like a gaggy amount. No crispy brown cheesy parts on top or even on the edges. Crust was gross on both and UN-crisp on both. I had to sear the bottom of the Sicilian in my cast iron skillet to make it edible. The sauce tasted good but it wasn’t enough to save it. How does this place have over 4 stars on Google and 5 on Slice app?...
