Tasti D-Lite — Restaurant in New York

This place has SO many toppings. Price by weight seems a bit more affordable than other options in the city ($0.80/oz). When I visited, the self-serve flavors included: french vanilla, strawberry, coffee, double stuffed cookies and cream, graham crackers, honey nut cheerios, and tart. Surprisingly, the graham crackers flavor tasted the sweetest of the all, and the honey nut cheerios flavor tasted the least sweet. The froyo / soft serve itself was very soft (not like frozen yogurt thickness at all, which can have an icy texture). The froyo wasn't that cold / seemed like it would melt quickly. Still not sure exactly what the ingredients are, but the flavors weren't bad.

They have so many oreo toppings and toppings in general. You use the same reusable metal spoon to get as many toppings as you want, which I was concerned about because of cross contamination (those with nut allergies should be careful).

The place isn't the cleanest (tables and seats had some unwiped spots), and it just looks a little dingy, but I would return for some...

I travel from Bermuda to NYC monthly and honestly I stay at the hotel specifically down the road from this location of Tasti D-Lite because it is that darn good! The owner (Ali) and the employee John recognizes and now knows me and there is no better feeling than being warmly greeted by an establishment. They offer sample cups to sample the froyo. The flavors are always changing and always a great variety. An abundance of toppings, more that you can imagine which makes this store superior to other froyo establishment in the city. Clean, well kept and in a convenient location. The flavors change all the time and some of them are pretty interesting! Cups are out, but you can ask for a cone and make your own or ask someone working there to make it for you. So many toppings available, it'll blow your mind. Plus, candy for sale by the pound. Finally, there's plenty of seating room inside (with A/C and large flat screen TVs) as well as outside (a large patio like area out front, protected by an overhead pavilion. I make a point to come...
