This is a wonderful place to grab a pint, or even an entire meal! Not only do they serve all the traditional Irish items, but they have a few extras as well. All of the food we had was absolutely wonderful, and I'd gladly have it again (we went back a few days later just to try new items and those were all wonderful as well). A couple things that Nana's Irish Pub does that really sets them apart is that kids eat FREE. And I don't mean just a couple fries or a lame hot dog -- but a full on meal. You get to choose one item from three columns to craft a meal for your kid. Mashed potatoes, chicken tenders, scrambled eggs, fruit and apple slices, etc. Possibly the most impressive "kids eat free" we've ever experienced -- because the kids food was actually very tasty as well. The service here was good, although the first time we arrived the poor lady who greeted us looked like she'd never seen children before and didn't know how to handle us. I think the problem is that it was about 8:15 PM and we didn't realize that at 9:00 PM in this part of Oregon (or maybe all parts) you can't have children in any establishing that serves hard liquor. We just make sure to arrive extra early on our second visit (because we HAD to come here a second time, and will try for a third before we leave the area). The staff was all very friendly and helpful. On our second visit, the man who seated us made it a point to make sure we knew about the children's free menu. It's nice that they're offering it and supporting it as well. We had everything from the fish and chips (outstanding -- great big chunks of beautiful flaky fish) and the stews (pot pies, etc.) were amazing and crazy-tasty. We loved every bite and would recommend this place to anyone who even remotely likes Irish Pub Grub.

First time visiting this charming & inviting restaurant this day Saturday 10 Jun 2023. I ordered the Chocolate Brandy Bread Pudding & the Black Bean Burger. First off, the Chocolate Brandy Bread Pudding was downright divine & perfect balance of chocolate & bread pudding flavor. It was also topped with actual factual whipped cream & dusted with cinnamon. This bread pudding will warm your heart & taste buds! The Black Bean Burger is fully vegan, so no beef whatsoever. Just black beans, corn & spices. Very delicious as well & cooked perfectly. Taste was amazing! The bun they put it on is a light flakey french type bread best described as croissant like without the croissant flavor or butter. Their side of spicy mayo for the burger also goes great with the fries... Spicy yet not too much & no mayo flavor. I was referencing google map menu prices & since I only had a $20 bill on me, I asked Natasha my server if was enough to cover the two items. She replied the prices had since been updated & was just a couple more than the $20 total, to which I kindly asked her to take the burger off the order . She returned a moment later & stated she wanted me to really try the black bean burger & so she covered the extra few dollars. I thanked her several times throughout my afternoon lunch. Natasha S. Is very attentive, customer friendly & goes above & beyond to ensure her customers are taken care of. This goes for all the staff I observed including the gentleman who brought the burger to my table. I will be returning here again very soon in a few weeks when I visit town next! Thank you EVERYONE at Nana's Irish Pub for delivering such delicious food & stellar customer care! All y'all are AMAZING! Thank you all for all your hard work & customer service! It is truly appreciated!

Having been a frequent visitor at Nana's over the years (but not so much these past few because of COVID), I became quite concerned when I read some recent "negative" reviews. We recently visited (Aug. 12th, 2021) and I'm pleased to report that all is well! Our server, Kendall, was professional, prompt and attentive. In these days of trying to keep seasoned staff on board (much less getting folks HIRED in the first place), she knew her stuff and represented the establishment VERY well. While we did have a 30+ minute wait...heat wave in the Willamette Valley sent folks in DROVES to the coast...it was well worth it and we were able to sit outdoors on the patio. Scotch eggs and shepherd's pie for me, their version of a Reuben for my bride, washed down with some lovely Guinness from the tap (MUCH better than from a can or bottle)...and I'm pretty sure the barkeep actually did a four-minute pour as well, with an attempt at a cloverleaf, even as busy as it was. Their take on a shepherd's pie is different, but equally yummy...not with mashed potatoes on top but with diced whole potatoes. And yes, they are dog-friendly, at least on the patio. Our GSD had a great time checking everyone else out. Heard nothing but compliments from other customers while we were there. Check Nana's out...methinks you'll be more than pleasantly surprised and delighted!

Looked for a pub to try some beer and food food and came across this gem. The location and atmosphere are great as near the beach and a dual bar with ample seating. We were greated and seated pretty quickly and the staff was quite attentive. We started off with some Irish Soda bread. Some of us had cups of clam chowder which was different than normal chowder as it had some veggies like corn and was a bit thinner making it seem like a stew BUT was great. We also tried Scotch Eggs which were delicious, especially with the grain mustard. For the entree my wife and I split the cottage pie with cheese. The seasoning was great, no salt or anything needed. My mother in law and brother in law had the Sheppard's pie which they identified was as good as our cottage pie. My daughter branched out and tried the meatloaf which came with mashed potatoes, peas, and soda bread. She ate most of the meatloaf and mashed potatoes, all the peas but wasn't a fan of the soda bread (not everyone likes carraway seed). To finish it off we had a banoffee pie which we shared across the table which was loved by all. A great combination of Bananas and Toffee, a must try if you like banana. Would come back here anytime.

I loved my experience and the food at Nana's Irish Pub! The main drag in Newport OR looks so shabby and non descript. It would be so easy to never find this ((jewel of a restaurant)). (I really wish I had caught our waitress's name. She is caucasian, dark haired, approx. 5'5".) Our waitress was so kind and warm in a way that felt so genuine. This entree I have posted a pic of is their, "TAIGUE’S DELIGHT - Irish style sausages smothered in seasoned apples and onions sauteed in Strongbow hard cider, served with mashed potatoes, peas, and a side of our house mushroom gravy." (Since I have to eat gluten free, we just dropped the gravy and soda bread.) It was oh so home made, comfort food good. Nana's Irish pub served me good-for-the-soul food that I can't eeeeeven remember the last time a restaurant left me feeling that way about their food, service, and atmosphere. Truly, go seek this place out! <3

My girlfriend and I went here for the first time today, and before starting I will note that it was about 5 P.M. so they were pretty busy. It didn't take a terribly long time to be seated, and they were pretty packed. The staff however were all very friendly. The waitress that we had was prompt with trying to to serve everyone. Our drinks were all good, no issues there, and we didn't have to continually wait to receive more. Ok! The food. We got the irish sausage with mashed potatoes, green peas, and a mushroom soup and the Reuben sandwich with fries. Both tasted great and was one of the best reubens I've ever had. I even ordered a side of their signature hot sauce which tasted really great. The mashed potatoes were disappointing and the green peas were bland. I would still recommend and will more than likely be back, but I can't quite give 5 stars today.
