Buffalo wild wings did it again. About three months ago, my fiance and I visited the dorchester road location. It was a new store and just been open probably of about six weeks at our visit. We arrived around ten fifteen an hour and forty five minutes before close and we were promptly seated. And then the weight began we waited. We waiting, we watch servers. Go back-and-forth. Managers go back-and-forth for over 30 minutes until I stopped one of them. And ask them, could we get some service. I watched the managers get one of the young servers and told them to take our table. Through her reaction in actions, you can see that she did not want to take us, nor did she want to have another table. Obviously she was about to be cut. Anyway, she came to the table. Introduced herself apologized for a long wait. And took our drink order. The wait began again. We watched the bartender promptly make our drinks and seeing them sitting there in the service window for over 15 minutes and so I've decided to get-up-and-go over and get them myself. But the bartender stopped me and serve the drinks to us. Our server was not to be found. About 10 more minutes went by, she came out and took art food order. Which the food was not that good.
With that being said, my fiance and I had another date night without the kids. She wanted wings, so I said Hey. Let's try the tanger outlet mall location of buffalo, wild wings. What a mistake. We entered the restaurant in about ten after ten fifty minutes before close. The host is status. Wiped off our table with a towel that was so wet. I had to ask the server immediately to get a napkin or another towel to wipe off our table. Our server came to the table. An older gentleman, gray hair and he took our drink and orders. We ordered the all you can eat boneless wings. Anyway, are drinks arrived promptly and we're very good. And then we waited. I'm waiting in waiting and waited. Nearly fifty minutes to get our first order a boneless wings. Yes, folks fifty minutes now we arrived at ten fifteen our wings showed up it almost ten after eleven. When the server set the wings down the table. Oh my god absolutely incredible. You could tell by the appearance of them that. It looked like they were sitting for a very long time. I took a bite of one of them. And they were cold in the middle and our server head the balls to sit and say they're rubbery, aint they? They're rubbery. Are you kidding me???? Anyway, bone swings that are cooked in 350° Greece. I would save for probably anywhere. Between 5 to 7 minutes would take quite a while, so they would be. I would say at 67°. The temperature of these wings was when I i took a bite of them. I asked him to see a manager and the service said. Oh, no I talked to him, okay already. And he's going to take care of the bill. Really? You just did that on your own. Was that talking to me first. Anyway, once the server left was his b. S I got up and found another server and told her I wanted to see a manager. The manager arrived stalky black man young gold teeth in his mouth, And I explained to him that I put my order in at about ten fifteen ten twenty and we're now getting our wings at ten at eleven ten, and he proceeded to say that he pushed all the food out to the dining room at ten forty five. If that's the case, what the hell happened to our wings in our food that we were patiently sitting there waiting for on our date night. Then I asked him because I've been in the restaurant industry for 35 years. Isn't it? After hours and aftercuts it's his servers. And the manager's responsibility to make sure that orders are getting out to the guest, and the manager kind of pushed that on the server that the server should have did it. And technically it's both parties responsibility that the guests get their food so basically one was blaming the other. To top it all off my wife said. Well, we'll just box them up and take them home with this and heat them up there in our server. Then stated. No, you can't do that because I would have to charge me for them...
Read moreIt's hard to express my level of frustration and disappointment with this place. After a late flight to Charleston, my wife and I were exhausted and starving and Buffalo Wild Wings was one of the only restaurants open around the time we went (9:30pm) that was conveniently located to our hotel. We generally enjoy BWW whenever we go to one of the locations close to our home up north, but this experience will forever make me question if I will ever go back.
We walked in and were not greeted. There was a young girl behind the hostess stand who seemed oblivious to the world around her. Once we got her attention after what seemed like an eternity, she wrote our name on her dry-erase board and said nothing else. She repeatedly mumbled things to us and never gave us any sort of idea as to when we'd be seated. We were the only ones waiting and the place wasn't very busy. We kept seeing customers finish their meal and leave, yet we were still just standing there. Adding to our frustration was the fact that no one was cleaning these tables and the wait staff were casually walking around, talking to one another, laughing, all while we just stood there, never being acknowledged. My wife thought to ask for a manager on duty, but we decided that clearly no manager could possibly be there if this type of experience was happening.
After about 20 minutes of just standing at the front of the restaurant waiting for a table, I asked the "hostess" (quotes intentional) if she had any idea when we'd be seated, and she proceeded to just say "soon" and then inexplicably wave her arms around in the air as though she was trying to signal someone but no one was there. It was bizarre. She did this multiple times.
Finally, the odd hand waving finished and she left the stand and began cleaning off one of the many (by this point, about 5) abandoned tables. To once again add to our frustration, she was oddly cleaning the table off one dish at a time. We seriously watched her grab a glass and take it to the back. Then come back and grab another glass and take it to the back. At this point we were convinced we had to be on hidden camera.
Finally we were seated after my wife, in her hunger-induced frustration, blatantly asked the hostess to seat us at that table once it was cleared.
It was a while before our waitress arrived, and she was the only redeeming quality about this place. Our food was not good at all, but at that point we knew it was late and we were probably not getting fresh food so sending it back was a waste of time.
I would highly recommend if you're reading this review, PLEASE go somewhere else. I've never had a single issue at another BWW but this one experience was so bad that I'll likely never go to another one again. This restaurant is severely understaffed, especially in the evenings, and the staff they do have (with the exception of our waitress who we truly felt sorry for) either lack enough care or plain common sense to do their job. The BWW Execs should really pay this place a visit - perhaps on a Thursday evening to witness this amazingly terrible experience...
Read moreI visited this location on 03/09/20 for an online pick up order. I ordered it while I was nearby and was so excited to see that the anticipated the pickup time was â3:40â... I decided to head over there early to make sure I was ready to get the food while itâs hot. I knew something was wrong when they called me at 3:34pm asking what I wanted in my order lol... I thought maybe they were having a malfunction with accessing the web receipt, but nope. The girl repeated exactly everything correct to how I ordered it online. I have ordered this simple meal sooo many times back home in Chicago with zero hesitation or unnecessary questions. They put me on hold for many minutes and since I was already here, I just walked in. The girl who had me on hold on the phone was surprised to see me.
Then, another employee was asking many unnecessary questions on my order. It was so simple, yet it felt like they were questioning my preference to not have cheese or the dairy sauce on my black burger. I also excluded tomatoes. Everything else was as normal. The girl continued to question it I wanted black bean or if I wanted a meat burger... lol I repeated my order exactly how I placed it online. I could tell at the moment (very close to my âpickup timeâ that they didnât even have the meal started yet). Both girls went to the back and didnât come out for many minutes.
They had zero customer service skills and barely communicated. I sat there silent and patient as Iâve been a server in the past so I understand sometimes there are just bad days. But sadly, there was a girl sitting next to me who had to return her food and was also very upset. I watched them question and badger her the same way they did me. They picked away at her for the simple preferences she had for her order. I just felt like these two workers were very immature and disrespectful. There was a third person waiting with us waiting with his food and he was upset and checked his order before he left and he asked them if he had to return his too. It was just a very odd interaction.
The order was 20 minutes over, and when the girl came from the back, she just hung the bag away from her and didnât say whoâs order it was or what it was. As there were now four people waiting for their orders, we were all very confused. The employee did not say anything at all. I stood up and looked through the order quickly seeing it was mine thank goodness.
Thankfully, I was just traveling and wonât have to return to this location anytime soon. But coming from the service industry, I would suggest reading these reviews and trying to better the process from them. I noticed it was veryyy empty in there and now I see why. People donât want to come to a place where they feel unwelcomed and where their orders are incorrect. You should check into who was on shift 03/09 from 3:30-4pm. Two girls who acted poorly and very immature. They didnât seem to value...
