It sad to go and spend money on your vacation on bad food. People making money in the food business should be ashamed of themselves serving paying costumers bad, tasteless and to overpriced food.
This place should maybe consider only serving 5-10 dishes the whole day and make them good and edible. We unfortunately stopped by there last night and ordered 3 things to try and let me tell you how disappointed we were. It didn’t have taste nor was it made with some sense of knowing how to cook the most simple dishes ever.
The homemade focaccia bread was a piece of sponge and tasteless veggies.
The “vegan” pulled pork was the one dish that good have been good yet, again disappointment.
How can you overlook spaghetti and make a peanut sauce that doesn’t taste like peanuts but just lime/lemon?? It was 1000% reheated and it was meant for someone else that didn’t want it and it was served to us.
Just get a good cook to make your food and again serve only couple of simple dishes that way you don’t have to throw out all the food that no one ate at the tables around us or us.
It’s sad that people starve for food yet this place makes horrible food and as a customer you pay and are sad at the same time because it has to be thrown away, because it’s not enjoyable.
I wouldn’t eat here again even if they offered everything for free.
Get your grip together and make better food and don’t make customers enjoying their vacation come to your place and make them have that bad memory while dining...
Read moreOnce again, an Ocean City staple gets plenty of nostalgia points from me. I remember when this place opened a couple decades ago and entirely forgot that it existed until this past Labor Day weekend when my girlfriend and I were walking by. I can remember my mom getting muffins here (which she always raved about) and I needed to stop in.
I was pleased to see that it is exactly the same inside as I remembered, which means that it could probably use a refresh. They appear to be using the same banana creamers that they were 20 years ago and the girls behind the counter were working hard to churn out orders. The kitchen is in the back and out of sight.
We got one of their proprietary "duffins" - a donut/muffin hybrid that really seemed to be a muffin in the shape of a donut. I guess that counts. We got a blueberry one, which was good but would have been better hot. We also got a banana whip (the standard here) with chocolate chips. It was really good. We got a kiddie size which looked bigger than a small!
It's a shame that this place is not on the main part of the boardwalk. You really have to know what you are looking for to find it. However, they offer something completely unique to the sweet treat scene here. If you want something that's not ice cream or water ice, check...
Read moreSummary first- never again. If I could give it zero stars I would but Google won't let me. Myself and family went there and ordered three meals - the sweet turkey meatballs, the orange cranberry chicken and the balsamic chicken entrees. They were all terrible and oddly enough all tasted the same. Although it lists different ingredients it was all too similar. I told my waitress u didn't like it and ended up asking to tall to the manager. The manager, who apparently is also the cook, is ALSO the owners son. Weird right? Yah so after talking to him he wants me to pay for two full meals as if it's no big deal when I have three barely touched meals each 14-15 dollars a piece. He says "OK I'll take one off and you feel comfortable just paying for two". No. I shouldn't have paid for anything aside from our drinks but I offered to pay for one out of being a decent human being. I paid twenty bucks for basically three Stewart root beers. I will never return, I'll tell family and friends about our bad time there as well....
