Payton's Jewely OCNJ is far and above the most disrespectful and unprofessional jeweler/retailer on the Board Walk. There was a pop-up of this store at my local mall, so I was thrilled when I saw them within the strip of stands. On 8/12/2022, my excitement immediately dissipated upon stepping foot in this establishment. There were three girls taking a picture in the mirror central to the store; I assumed they were simply teenagers enjoying the beach and flattering lighting. They then stepped behind the counter and began giggling about their social media posts, which is when I realized they were not beachgoers, but in fact, the employees. Not once while I was in the shop was I greeted or assisted by the clerks. The girls were loudly chatting about their social affairs and paying no mind to the customers in the store, myself included. I suppose their phones were more interesting than their job during that moment. When another patron inquired the three regarding the pricing of an item, they all answered in a sharp and clearly unamused tone. I adore Payton's Jewelry and own several items-- I was even hoping to expand my collection today. However, the utterly atrocious service by these three workers completely turned me off from the thought of it. I cannot in good faith support a store that mismanaged and disrespectful, nor can I justify purchasing something knowing even a fraction of my money will go towards those employees paycheck. I am disappointed. Payton's...
Read moreI just want to say that there was a girl working there today, friday july 8, 2022, that is probably the nicest employee i have ever come across. my cousin and i were in the store and she helped us with absolutely everything we needed. she was great with making conversation, and honestly made my shopping experience and my day a lot better. she was so sweet and so nice. she was so patient with us and so willing to help. you could tell that she liked her job and i appreciated that. she had long blonde hair and a blue shirt on. she also commented about a ring that she can’t get off her hand lol. i hope you can identify who she is from reading this. we told her we would write this review before leaving the store, but never got her name so whoever is reading this please ask around and see if anyone remembers two girls saying they would try to write a review for them. she seriously was great. although my cousin came out of the store without buying anything (due to the fact that her ring size wasn’t in stock in a certain ring which was totally fine) we were both smiling and very happy that we met...
Read moreI wanted to update my original review now that it's been a few weeks since my visit.
Initially, I gave a five-star review as part of a $10 off promotion, though that discount wasn’t reflected on my receipt at the time. When I returned to the store (which was a bit inconvenient due to limited/expensive parking in OC), the staff was helpful, fixed my daughter’s bracelet that had fallen off within 24 hours, and honored the promotion with a $10 refund.
Unfortunately, about two weeks later, the anklet I purchased for myself came off without me realizing it, so it’s now lost. I’m disappointed, especially considering it cost over $115. I’m relieved I didn’t choose something more expensive. Just a heads-up to others to be mindful of the durability when making a purchase for “permanent jewelry” ———————
Fun mother daughter experience getting permanent jewelry. Lots of beautiful choices so it was tough making a decision! Store is clean, and nicely air...
