Happy Eatery ツ — Restaurant in Ocean City

Firstly kudos to the owners for trying something new and for hopefully bringing better asian inspired food to OC. Sadly my interaction with Happy Eatery didn't end up all that happy nor did I get lunch. After walking 20min to pick-up a uber eats order I arrived to find it had been cancelled. While the staff was very nice, they were not adequately trained to use the platform despite the restaurant touting all the major apps on its menus and signage. With a stroller and hot child along for the walk pickup lunch I observed a mother and kids having a similar experience in attempting to sit and eat. Place is nice and clean but no sight of food, and the staff needs to be trained on the CRM systems established by the owners. We may try again in a month or so. But right now Happy Eatery needs a strategy meeting as a double unit like that is going to be tough to operate in the green based on this interaction. We came here for dinner and tried two ramen bowls — one with shrimp and one with chicken. Unfortunately, both were just instant-style noodles with minimal veggies. The chicken ramen, which cost $16, had only five tiny pieces of chicken. The shrimp one was better, but still not worth the price for what’s basically fancy instant noodles.

Great atmosphere and food was the best food we have had all stay! We got the scallion pancakes, hibiscus tea, chicken katsu salad and black bean udon and everything was AMAZING!!! Sad to be going home tomorrow from the shore because this food is going to be food I crave for the rest of my life 😮 staff was incredibly kind and prices were fair for the quality and portions of food!!! Try the salad, it was super refreshing after a hot day and there was the perfect amount of dressing...
