Holiday OCNJ — Restaurant in Ocean City

this place is adorable and it’s very close to the boardwalk. the vibes were adorable, the decorations outside were a nice vibe. inside the people were super friendly and welcoming. came in with a friend and of course had to try the fluff drink. my friend ordered the fluff and a croissant, i ordered a non fat vanilla ice latte with a blueberry muffin. the viral fluff drink is their one out of four of their specialty drinks.

i honestly would give the fluff drink anything higher then a 3/10. when you took a sip you could only taste peanut butter chunks. didn’t taste like it had coffee in it but i know some people like it like that. the peanut butter was just really overwhelming and when you took sips you could feel the peanut butter chunks through the straw.

the blueberry muffin was house made which i think was really nice and the blueberry’s were still very fresh and juicy. it was a little small and has a lot of blueberry’s which made it fall apart when you tried to pick it up to eat. the vanilla latte was good, not too sweet and you could taste the espresso it was a good ratio.

overall i think if you like non specialty drinks and just good coffee overall you will love the place. this shouldn’t be comparable to other coffee shops because most places have drinks with a bunch of crazy stuff in them. this place is way more straightforward which i like. i just think if they tweak some of the way they make they’re drinks it would be better but id...

I was very excited to try this place. House made syrups is something I look for as soon as I step into a coffee shop, and I was pleased to see that they made two flavors in house… Now for the negative, for as expensive as the coffee is, I would expect fresh grounds for my espresso. I saw individual ground coffee bags being placed in the espresso machine. Not very good quality either. Very disappointing. Dropped in for a coffee after spending the day at the beach. I’ll be honest, I’m a coffee snob. I’m from the PNW originally and I know my coffee. This place did such a great job. They have house made syrups that really show case the flavors well. I got the brown sugar cardamom and was so pleased. The owner also mixed whole milk and skim to make 2% and was so kind about it.
