I am not one to complain but I am a fan of Charleston’s and have been to every location more than one time. Unfortunately, this location has not met the standards I am accustomed to with Charleston’s. The last two times I have been to this location my order has been wrong. The wait staff is not as accommodating as most locations and therefore it takes a while to get the food corrected. Today was the same situation. I ordered the French dip today and I always order it the same way. With cheese and raw and creamy horseradish on the side. Usually they always ask if I want to add cheese for extra but the waitress did not ask. I told her exactly what I wanted. The sandwich came out without cheese and a small amount creamy horseradish on the bun and nothing on the side. The waitress never came back around to check on the order after delivery and I had to explain to someone bringing me a refill on my tea that we had an issue. The manager bought me the horseradish and told me they could add cheese but it is extra. No problem. They took my sandwich and added cheese and nuked the sandwich and killed the prime rib to melt the cheese. It was brown, dry and hard. NOT PRIME RIB. This is a $24.00 sandwich! I am happy to come to Charleston’s for a French Dip as it is described and as I am used to eating. THIS IS NOT IT! I feel there is something missing in this location that does not meet the standards of the other restaurants. The manager never came back to the table to check on the order or ask if everything was okay. There again, something I’m not used to at Charleston’s. The other plates at the table were good and up to the typical...
Read moreVisiting my 2 son's at Tinker AFB knowing 2 things, I would spoil them and I would be eating amazing steak in OK. Took them and a couple of their AF buddies out to this place on a Wed night based on their many positive reviews. 100% ACCURATE!! Not only was my filet with burgundy mushrooms the melt in my mouth steak I was craving but the other items on our ticket were beyond awesome as well. We made 2 orders of the night's special, fried chicken- a half chicken, hand dipped, made to order and both guys praised it as the best fried chicken they ever had. The chicken fried steak was fork-tender and bigger than my face. Side dishes did not disappoint. Dinner salad with bacon toppings, perfect mashed potatoes to compete with my own, salt crusted baked potato (perfection), fries crispy and in that sweet spot of not to thick or thin. Bar drinks were excellent as well; perfectly poured & balanced. High compliments to the bartender. It took zero convincing for us to order the carrot cake, a family favorite. Absolutely fantastic. I also had the pleasure of enjoying an off menu offer of coconut cream pie which was scrumptious beyond measure. Portions were huge, too. Our server, Tiana was super friendly, knowledgeable and took EXCEPTIONAL care of us. We were surprised to learn she had only been working there a short time as she provided spot-on & attentive care with ease. Charleston's, I will be back on my next visit and I know before I get there myself my boys will be there...
Read moreI took my son to Bricktown to eat at this restaurant as a favor to a friend who wanted a review. The experience was so good that I decided to leave a Google review as well. I have to say, the food and drinks here are excellent. The flatbread pizza appetizer is absolutely amazing—loaded with spices and cheeses. Even my son, who is the pickiest eater, really enjoyed it.
For the main course, we had two dishes and a dessert. I ordered the Chicken Piccata, and my son had a plain, dry cheeseburger. We finished off with the featured dessert of the day: German Chocolate Cake, which did not disappoint.
I also tried three drinks: the Blackberry Mule, which was a bit too starchy with the ginger tea spice; the Lemon Drop Martini, and the Black Cherry Smash, both of which were delicious.
I rated the service a 4 because it took 20 minutes to get my salad, and another 10 to get our appetizer, while other tables around us received theirs much quicker. The manager, Brandon, came over to apologize and made sure the entrees didn’t come out immediately after the appetizer.
The Chicken Piccata was decent but I've had better; it had a slightly bitter taste, and the asparagus pieces were a bit tough. However, the noodles were really good, and my son thoroughly enjoyed his cheeseburger. However it was the appetizer and dessert that earned this place an overall 5 star.
I would definitely return to this restaurant again, and the prices were really good for...
