We went at 6pm on Saturday night. There was no line but the place was fairly busy. Lots of young adults working the floor. Not sure why but there is a section off of the main restaurant for overflow seating. The host continued to fill this section even though there was lots of seating open in the main area where the live music was happening. They took us back and there was a large party of 20 eating. The area had a really bad echo. We requested to move immediately. They took us right around the corner to a section of 8 tables completely open in view of the live entertainment? Not sure why this option wasn't offered to begin with. If your dinning here you want the full experience.
Our waitress was nice. She didn't really know the menue and lacked insight on recommendations. (Disappointing) We read other reviews so we had an idea of what to try. We started with quesadilla, Was yummy with BBQ dipping sauce but our 4 year old wouldn't eat due to peppers. We also got a bowl of chilli in the middle of summer 🤣. Chillie had great flavor just a little heavy on the salt. My wife ordered the Filet with salad and okra. Salads where nothing to write home about but the steak and Okra very much worth the money we spent. Our son picked fried catfish, not normally something he would ask for. He didn't care for the tarter sauce but devoured the catfish so im going to say it was good. I ordered the prime rib , salad cream corn and BBQ Rotisserie chicken. The prime lacked flavor and I wish I would have ordered a different steak. The cream corn could be an app it tasted like a corn dip and was yum, the chicken had great flavor and made for an excellent lunch the next day. We asked for honey and butter several times for the cornbread finally decided to take it home and glad we did the honey made it perfect.
We tried several drinks! Wife Loved the indigo kiss I would also have to say it was very good. The purple margarita was ok. I had the crimson and cream X 5 lol it was good.
For desert we had the red velvet cake with walnut ice cream and home made whipped cream..... THIS IS A MUST HAVE IF YOU VISIT THIS BAR!
Over all we enjoyed the music and the food. We figured out pretty quickly the waitress wouldn't be visiting the table much so we ordered our dri ks in bulk. Wait staff is hit or miss anymore so we try to make the best.for the $200 experience that would be our biggest complaint
So if you can tolerate slow service I would recommend this place. Food and drinks...
Read moreMy parents and I decided to drop in this place on our way back to Dallas for a quick lunch after attending a funeral close to the casino. Huge mistake. We sat at the bar and the bartender on staff that day was rude from the start (I won't mention her name but young with blonde hair pulled up in a twist). We asked for menu's which seemed to annoy her then our drink orders were met with a sigh and eye roll. My Mom and I ordered a martini while my Dad was safe with a beer (easy enough). My advice would be to not give her a preference on your vodka because that is just too much for her to handle. I ordered a dirty martini, my Mom order hers with a twist. Both of our glasses were hot and she served my Mom's with a lemon wedge (that's new). So basically hot vodka with a lemon wedge and hot vodka with an olive floating in it. I suffered through mine but My Mom nicely asked for another with no lemon this time and to please shake with ice. She literally poured less than a shot of vodka in another hot martini glass and slid it her way. I have to admit it was comical I couldn't help but laugh and take a picture. I wish I could post the picture but the site is not letting me. In truth it's sad that she's that unhappy in life. I've worked in the service industry before if you don't like customers asking/ordering things, find another job please. You just ruin people's day for no reason. We didn't dare ask for salt and pepper so I grabbed a set from an empty table behind us (we were the only ones in the restaurant at this time), she came from the kitchen and saw and through her head back mocking a scream. She grabbed another set from behind the bar and slammed them on the table. This girl was definitely over it and we were the only customers! We went either 10/16 or 10/17 lunch time. I understand people have bad days, we all do but take a deep breath or something and get it together. My parents had both been looking forward to going to the casino as they have never been and it was just an awful dining experience. The food was just ok but definitely better than...
Read moreVisited the restaurant 2/15/25 at around 1pm. As the hostess sat us, my wife and I walked passed 5 servers all standing in a circle chatting. 5min later, no one came by, 10 minutes later, no one came by, therefore I proceeded to walk to the group and this time the manager was standing there with the group. I asked if he was the manager and he said yes. I mentioned to him that we have been sitting there for 10 minutes and no one has approached us. He policed and asked for our drinks. Didn’t hear from him again.
Granted, our section had about 7 open tables surrounding us, meaning the restaurant was less than a 1/4 full.
Yet packs of servers standing around.
After our drinks were brought, our server apologized for the incident stating she didn’t see us. Granted she was apologetic and her service was great.
It’s still disappointing to have to wait 10 minutes and not even the manager notice how we walked right in front of the group of servers and him, and for so much time to go by without getting any service.
On our way out, the manager “CRAIG”, was standing by the door, I approached him to make him aware that we were disappointed with the way they took 10 minutes to come to our table when half of that section was empty and we walked right by him and a group of over 5 servers. And how the only thing he did was ask for our drink order. I told him how 3-5 servers walked by our table and no one took the time to say a word. His response in a sarcastic way to me was “DID YOU TIME IT” I said no, but it was actually more than 10 minutes. He asked again, “did you time it? because 10 minutes is a long time” I said to him there was no need for him to be sarcastic, asking if we timed it. He continued being sarcastic, so I told him to expect a review for the poor service and him. He proceeded to ask where we were from. I told him Dallas and this was our...
