Handel's Homemade Ice Cream — Restaurant in Palmdale

We are visiting family in the Antelope Valley. I asked my teenage granddaughter where I could take her for dessert, and she chose Handel's. Good choice! There's a lot to like about Handel's. First, their selection is excellent. I had a hard time choosing my flavors because there were so many that looked so good. Second, the ice cream tastes great. They are flavorful, creamy, and smooth. Third, the waffle cones are fresh and crunchy. They claim to make them daily, and I believe it. I've had a lot of waffle cones from other places that are stale and soggy. Not at Handel's! Fourth, the service is efficient. There was a line when we arrived, but it was served quickly and we soon had our ice cream. And those who served us were friendly as well. This is a walk-up facility with no place to sit and eat, so keep that in mind. We walked over to Coffee Bean Coffee and Tea Leaf and sat outside there as I enjoyed a coffee with my frozen treat. It was a nice solution. All in all, Handel's is a great place to enjoy some quality ice cream. And good waffle...

When someone first told me about this place that first opened in Palmdale, I was definitely a little unsure on how good it actually was, I mean compared to the other ice cream places I've been to like Cold Stones and Baskin Robins, those places are great! But Handel's ice cream? Omg, I kid you not is probably the best ice cream I've ever had in my entire life! It tastes AMAZING! I feel like I get their ice cream at least once every other week! It's so much better then any ice cream place I've been too! I got their Brownie Sundae one time and boy, that thing was massive! It was really really good, I devoured the whole thing! Lol! My go to order is always the Brownie Dough ice cream, mmm! Delicious! Seriously, go check out Handel's if you have one near you, I promise you won't regret it at all! I love this place, but tonight, I just had a bad experience. it sucks that I have to write this review because they are usually good. Let's just say the cashier Maria was rude, and im saying that to be nice. We arrived before closing and had to wait because the staff seemed to be having a good time. finally, when it was our turn, I asked Maria for a hurricane, and she said they were no longer making hurricanes. I asked why, and she replied because they closed at 10. I said it isn't 10 yet, and she said well get here earlier next time lol. can you imagine how she said it? well, I decided not to get anything because she made me feel like this place didn't deserve anything from me, but unfortunately, it was someone's birthday, and they wanted ice cream. get the night staff on check because they all looked like they...
