This place looks great! Arcade for the kids and wood fired pizza! But not so much ....We arrived for dinner at 630 pm. We were told that the wait for a table was an an hour possibly an hour and 15. No problem we will go to the arcade and play while we wait.
We ended up waiting 2 hours for a table, we played every game in the arcade and then some. We decided to stay because we experienced lots of restaurants in the area closing their doors early and really wanted to eat without having to door hop to find something serving.
Turns out that there were only 4 waitresses working. The restaurant had plenty of open tables just no one to work them.
So we get seated after 8 pm. Immediately put our order in since we were hungry and didn't want to take up more of the waitresses time since she was slammed. She kept apologizing profusely, we weren't mad but I'm sure I looked a mess since I spent two overstimulating hours in the arcade and was hangry.
While we were waiting for our food I spot what I assume was the manager casually walking around picking up and reading survey cards from tables that left. I wanted to scream. These 4 ladies are holding this entire restaurant together, expertly fielding tired, hungry customers and serving orders and he's just walking around reading comment cards.
Food finally came. We ordered an order of Honey Wings and Sweet and Spicy Wings. The wings here were delicious. Highlight of the meal. We also ordered a 10"margarita pizza, a 10" pepperoni and a kids cheese. The crust on the pizza was great but otherwise they were pretty tasteless. It was like the sauce was a can of tomato sauce that had no seasoning to it. I didn't even taste a hint of garlic or anything. I almost wanted to salt my pizza, but doused the thing in parm instead.
It was a pretty expensive meal to begin with and we tipped the waitress well for all she went through but I didn't think the food was worth what we spent. Overall loved the arcade and the wings. Everything else...
Read moreFor the name "Big Daddy's" I honestly thought the pizzas would be big. We spent almost $30 for a large pizza. It served us 8 small slices. Honestly it was smaller than a medium pizza at pizza hut or papa johns.
The lady that greets you at the front. She may have been from Ukrainian, Russian, Belarusian, or somewhere near there. Didn't acknowledge us at first busy talking to another worker. She finally turned and just asked us how many. And then she grabbed menu and just walked us to table. Not very friendly.
Our server was great. She was very friendly. Even when I commented on the size of the pizza. She agreed and said they do come out very small for what you pay for.
The taste of the pizza was just ok. It was burnt on most of the bottom and only decent bites is when you actually got some marinara. Maybe a bit better than a typical Red Barron frozen pizza. But a lot worse than a place like Mod Pizza or other cheaper brick oven places.
We also visited the arcade. Most games for little kids seemed to cost at least $1 to play. I'm talking games that are really old and used to cost 25 cents. Then you see others that were $2 per play that were a little newer maybe a game that came out 10 years ago new. So just really expensive to try to let your kid play in the arcade.
The place was pretty clean. The cooks are very loud though. Sounded like they were starting to argue at one point. They are right there in the open so you get to hear...
Read moreNOT FOR AUTISTIC FAMILYS RUDE MANAGER So we have been going to this restaurant for a couple of years now. Our Son is now 11 years old went for his birthday. He is autistic non verbal and is super picky on the eating scale. We love there food and we came to eat but I had a LITTLE CAESARS small personal pizza for him. Came into the door and was stopped and asked rudly why I would bring that into there bussness. I went into my spill about my son and the picky eating and we loved there food. Before I could stop I was told I had to put that into another pizza box to satisfy the manager. Well here is the problem as soon as you move it he will have a melt down due to the pizza not being in New box. Life with autism is hard and it's stressful but I'm doing the best I can. We where embarrassed as soon as we walked in and it was made to be a big deal. No more of this puzza for us. Except people's differences and don't be rude to special needs kids or a mama bear. DO NOT EAT HERE AND EXCEPT TO BE TEATED NICE OR EVER LIKE A NORMAL HUMAN BEING TO HAVE FAMILY FUN TOGETHER IN A TOWN THAT IS ALL ABOUT FAMILY and GOD
DOLLYWOOD IS THE ONLY PLACE THAT UNDERSTANDES OUR FAMILY AND THE FUN WE TRY AND HAVE AND OVERCOME THE OTHER DIFFERENCES...
