I am boycotting here because of a very rude staff. She gave me only 11 donuts for two boxes (I purchased four boxes), which was understandable. BUT when I let her know this later, she almost blamed me for not having ordered online beforehand, which made her rush to box them up. I was the only customer who was ordering at the time (8:30 am).
I am responding to the owner's feedback below here as Google maps doesn't allow me to comment on a previous reply in the same thread.
First of all, thanks for your feedback. BUT you should know that I DID reach out to you directly through your website the day after the incident. But you didn't respond. That's why I had to make a review here. I wanted you to know what happened and take some measures to prevent similar issues in the future. It was the only reason I left a review here: to make my voice heard. Also, I never wanted to get a refund. My students did enjoy the donuts and my money was worth. No need to cancel the transaction. All I needed was you attempt to have a better relationship with customers so that there is no one who feels upset like me in the future.
In fact, your comment here made me more frustrated. It seems that you don't check consumer reports on your website, but check online reviews to maintain your reputation. Please find my messages which was sent last Friday and make sure I DID contact you through your website and find out what exactly happened. Perhaps, her version of the story is different than mine. I don't blame for that. Everybody remembers things differently according to their involvement. Yet, you also should figure out what I felt at the moment as a customer.
Again, I chose to make a review on Google map since you didn't get back to my message through your website. When you confirm you read this review on Google map as well as my message through your website, I will delete this online review since my goal is achieved. In addition, I believe you will do your best to make similar things not happen again. Here, by similar things, I don't mean giving 11 donuts for a box. I mean you blame customers for not ordering online.
PS. I am not sure how you knew which transaction was...
Read moreDisappointing. This location is right in the middle of Portland State University campus, high traffic area for students at all hours, they have no decaf, and they close at 2:00 (although, the sign is in a weird handwritten font that makes it look more like a 7) - right when everyone needs an afternoon pick-me-up and just as a major class time is about to shift. The donuts are tasty, but the coffee was meh, and the staff was annoyed (and kinda rude) that large swaths of students were showing up right before closing, which I get, but also... it should be an indicator that your hours need a shift. You can't really blame us for seeking out the coffee shop that is literally attached to a major student hub as we're headed to our 2:00 classes... it's like the perfect...
Read moreTypically this place is alright. Donuts are a bit overpriced and drinks are… just okay. Today the service was especially bad. The employee working was on his phone sitting at a customer table when we came in. Asked if we were paying separately before even asking what we were going to get. Had his AirPods in and clearly couldn’t hear us. Was just yelling and rude the entire time. If he was mad that he had to serve a customer during (what I assume) was his break, I guess I’d understand. Maybe fix your staffing so that employees don’t take it out on the customers. If he wasn’t on his break… sorry for interrupting your phone time and making you do your job, man.
Edit: a college freshman, not a freshman in high school. That was a fully grown man....
