I normally love this restaurant but tonight was a game changer. I had made a call-in order for delivery wanting pizza and wings. My estimated time of delivery was quoted 30 minutes. The estimated address was maybe 4-5 blocks away from the restraurant. An hour goes by and I call in to ask about my order, the ASSISTANT manager told me that my order hasn’t even left yet. Their policy states that if delivery takes longer than 30 minutes than the meal is free. He began to tell me that the estimated time that I or his employee had was total fabrication and that they were two hours out on delivery & then also told me that we don’t get to have our meal for free even though an employee made a mistake and that we also had to wait longer to get our meal. After arguing with this man on the phone he finally admits that a mistake as been made, never offers the free meal that their policy STATES but tells me that he can give me a 20% off discount. I’m very displeased that I had to wait over an hour to get my food over miscommunication & it’s disappointing to see how a manager reacts with a customer over a mistake that his own employee has made. Just to top all of this off their delivery driver SHOWED UP AT OUR HOUSE with our meal within not even ten minutes of the phone call. Obviously the assistant manager wasn’t on top on his orders the way that he arrogantly portrayed. Their driver was very humbled and had also offered us a bigger discount than the assistant manager did. We happily took our food and left him with a fat tip. It was made right. Read moreYesterday was the 4th of July, I walk through the door with my 6 yr old daughter, niece and nephew. Instead of "hello", I get "you need to take off that hat before you get service".. This rude, classless, brown hair, bad beard, dirty looking, 5.8 , 160 lb punk proceeds to tell me he's a giants fan and some how my American flag, red, white and blue dodger hat is not allowed in the restaurant. At first I naturally think he's joking and I started to laugh it off. He then reassures me that he's not joking and asks another employee if he's serious. I say" well I'll just walk".. he shrugs as if he doesn't care and he's willing to let me walk out the door. I would have with out a doubt walked but I got 3 kids who say they are starving just 10 minutes earlier in that awful parade traffic and you can't imagine how long it took us to get there. So after a few more moments of me looking at this jackass, he decided that I wasn't leaving and seated us. I didn't want to make a scene in front of the kids. Sitting there waiting for our food, I contemplated telling people around us what just happened.. but again I had the kids and didn't want to ruin their day. Read moreWent to Pizza Hut a little while ago, while my rating doesn't reflect the employees, it does reflect the business and their practices. First off, it did take a lot longer than expected to receive our pizza. I remember when we were placing our order, my wife had noticed the salad in the menu. Come to find out for somewhere around $5 you could only get one plate of salad, for an all-you-can-eat salad bar it was around $8 (no thank you). I did pass by the salad bar on the way to the restroom, I scoffed at how small and limited the "salad bar" was and tried to disguise it as a sneeze...
Back to the pizza, even though it was delicious, it took forever. I honestly believe it took around an half hour. It gave me an opportunity to look around. I saw behind the front desk, there were a bunch of papers taped to the wall, and written words, like, "Good Job", "Great Service", etc. I'm assume those were compliments from customers, that's fine, but I think that's something that should belong in the back out of the view of customers, kind of tacky in my opinion.
When it came time to pay for our pizza, the waitress forgot our discount (brought in pizza hut sunglasses), she went and corrected it. Other than that, nothing else really sticks...
