I always go to this store because I love the drinks and their crepes, but with my repeated interactions with this specific employee, I’m not so sure anymore. I hope this doesn’t sound racist coming from an Asian person, but that one Asian employee at this store is just… I don’t know— a bit rude and unwelcoming.
My first interaction with her was when I was with my two kids and a teenager I introduced to boba. We bought a couple of drinks and an order of crepe to go. But this employee didn’t seem to like us being there. She didn’t greet us nicely and was on her phone when we came in. She didn’t seem happy when I said we wanted a crepe. I asked for it to-go, but she didn’t even bother putting it in a bag—and most of all, didn’t include all the listed toppings. I let it go, thinking maybe she was just having a bad day.
The second time, when I came in, she was again on her phone. She seemed cheerful but only said hello without looking up. She took my order, and when I told her I had a free drink from my punch card, her tone and face changed. She just said, “Out in a few,” then sat down and went back on her phone. If you don’t like people redeeming their free drink after buying nine, then why offer punch...
Read moreThe first time I came here was with a friend. I ordered the passion fruit refresher and she had the taro pudding. The passion fruit refresher was pretty good, but not amazing. The taro pudding tasted straight up like protein powder and was pretty undrinkable, even for my friend who usually orders taro drinks at other places. We felt like for the price it should’ve been better. I went in today for $4 cup Tuesday and to try it again, and I ordered the brown sugar boba. Honestly I loved the drink part of it, it was delicious and perfectly sweet. The boba part of it wasn’t very good to me, I felt like the amount of boba for the regular sized cup was overwhelming. The boba didn’t have a great flavor and they felt more underdone/slimy than other boba I’ve tried. Overall I don’t think this is a bad place to go, I like some of their flavors and I think they have a unique offering in Rexburg. I know that they’re a new shop here so I’m excited to see how their flavors and value...
Read moreHonestly, probably the best boba I've had in Southeast Idaho.
When the boba (tapioca pearls) are freshly made, you have a definite win. The texture and flavor knocks the other places out of the park. The drinks themselves have a good flavor, I do wish they incorporated either fresh or frozen fruit so the drinks tasted a little less artificial & a little more refreshing. Don't get me wrong - they're still good. It would just provide the extra "umph".
The coolest part? You can mix different flavors if you want to. I'm going call my special request "The Amber". LOL. It's a mix of taro and honeydew smoothies with boba. Honeydew smoothie on top, taro smoothie on the bottom or vice versa. Either way, it's so good!
Now open in the same location is Space Crepes - also very good! I had the Taro Space Crepe. It was both pretty and delicious. That's a win-win, if you ask me.
I don't travel to Rexburg often. But when I do, you can find...
