Went on a Taco Tuesday with my boyfriend and the customer service from the bartender BRETT was terrible. As a bartender myself I take pride in excellent customer service, attention to detail, and making sure my drinks are A1. I had been ordering from the younger blonde bartender all night and took a chance on Brett and was extremely disappointed in his interaction. We wanted 1 last drink before heading home so I ordered 2 well whiskeys on the rocks. Brett pours Makers Mark for both which I love but that's not what I ordered. I asked him when he returned if Makers Mark was the well and he said, "No, Maker's is a ONLY a few bucks more" nonchalanty. ??? Okay... annnnddd ?? So I smiled and proceeded to tell him, "It's fine I ordered well but no big deal" but literally in the MIDDLE of my sentence he walks away (I know he couldn't hear me because the DJ was blasting the music and my friends had to talk loud af just to hear each other) turning his back to me and goes to his cash register looks back and looks at me with like an attitude and puts his hands up. I was baffled. There'sHow are you mad at me for YOUR actions and poor customer service?! And I was being nice not trying to make it a big deal or ask him to remake them. Custmomers/consumers don't care if it's only 50 cents more that's not what I asked for and it's not okay for you to take it amongst yourself to upcharge customers because you think you can take advantage of them and increase your sales. Other than that poor example of customer service from BRETT our tacos were good, and the younger blonde female bartender was friendly and smiling all night...

Okay first the good: probably the best chicken and waffles I've had and I've had every Chicken and waffles in town. The service and the staff were outstanding.

The Bad: the decibel readings during the audio of the rock show where CRIMINAL! I'M SURE EVERYBODY INCLUDING THE CHILDREN HAVE HEARING DAMAGE. Even the touring band (Sponge) that has been on national radio for 30 years told the sound guy it was too loud during soundcheck, and the sound guy, politely and professionally, said he's been doing this here for years and to trust him.

The sound engineer was incredibly polite, I have nothing personal against him, but I would never allow anyone I care for to be exposed to permanent hearing damage.

I myself have been playing music in rock bands since 1997, I have no such complaints for the sound engineers at Goldfields in Roseville, Ace of spades, Powerhouse Pub, old iron sides, G Street Pub in Davis, on the Y, Louie's, you name it. The only other place that came close to being this excessive was Holy Diver. I used to think that place was too loud but Sacramento Goldfields is out of control.

Nothing personal to any of the staff, they have excellent service and amazing food but if you plan on attending a musical event, for your own safety and for the safety of those you love PLEASE BRING HEARING...

I wanted to visit a country bar for the 2nd time in my life and was a little nervous coming here because my friend and I are POC, but we actually had a really good time! Parking wasn't a problem. Patrons and staff were friendly and inviting. The shots and beer we ordered were decently priced. I haven't tried the food yet, or have come when there's a show, but I'll update my review when I do.

There's 3 different rooms. The 1st room is mainly the bar, which you can sit at on stools or sit at the booths on the opposite side. There's a water dispenser located in the back. The 2nd room is where the stage and dance floor are. Some of the staff were line dancing on stage, while the others were line dancing in the middle of the dance floor. There's also some booths in the front. The 3rd room is empty besides a couple of booths in the front and back, and also a photobooth in the front. You can view the dance floor from there and just chill if you'd like. There's bathrooms located in the back of the 1st and 3rd room.

I was so excited to learn some of the line dances and was able to pick up a few. Overall, I don't have any complaints. The bathrooms were clean, the environment was great, the drinks were good, the line dancing was fun, and we had a great time. I'll definitely be...

I like Goldfield because they have three separate big rooms to hang out, so if you're in a spot that's too loud or too quiet, you can move to suit your mood. There's the bar, which is big and open, with big wooden booths to chat with your friends over a meal. It's one of the best places in town for taco Tuesdays. The bartenders are friendly and very efficient and the beer selection is good. The middle room has the stage and live music, and most often it's country, but there's a good mix of everything. You can enter the bar for free and totally hear the music since you are right next to it, but you can't really see it if you don't pay the cover. The third room is open for mingling, for just the cover paying crowd, with a lot of open floor space and tables and booths. It's really easy to find a place to get comfortable or to be entertained here. The location is excellent too, right across from the Memorial Auditorium and a busy hub of popular restaurants and clubs.
