California Burrito Rating (13) On a mission to rank San Diego's California Burritos! Stop number thirteen: Vega Caffe Mexican Deli. Product: After waiting a few minutes, they brought out what looked like a pretty big burrito. But it was cold. The meat was warm, but everything else was straight out of the fridge. The ingredients were all over the place—dry meat and the flavors didn’t really vibe together. Nothing 'clicked' in this burrito. The grease is slippery and soaks through the parchment paper its wrapped in. Full of huge chunks of oily half raw warm onion. And the worst is yet to come huge chunks of warm crunchy green peppers. Why would green peppers be in a burrito?! It gets worse the sticker was still on one of the pieces. The produce wasn't washed!! Gross.
