Perfect little, beach adjacent place. A lot of great natural lighting. The vibe is relaxed and nice. The place reminds me of converted ship. My cousin and I shared a few different things - and I CAN'T BELIEVE WE DIDN'T GET NACHOS... next time! Everyone was kind and greeted our table. Our server Brian (or with a y...) was kind and professional. You could tell he liked what he recommended and that he actually liked being there, which always bodes well for the vibe of a place.

The guacamole is REALLY good... I say this because sometimes the simple things get overcomplicated at places. They did it justice. We had the carrots (too good really) and the fish tacos were tasty - best of all, not sloppy. I wasn't very adventurous because I kept it simple and had the ZERO aka skinny margarita (very nice - got it twice!) and my cousin had the Hawaiian Pineapple in Venice and also tried the Gracias Jesus. She enjoyed them both! We got the #1 pizza (sun gold tomato, green chili, basil oil) - it was the perfect dough to toppings ratio and very delicious.

I do recommend uber/lyft or walking. There are a few lots nearby and also street parking but those can be hard to get during summer, especially weekends.

I was very happy with this place and it will be one of the spots in Santa Monica I keep in rotation throughout the year. I may even head out there...

We happened upon Vamos Vamos the Friday before Memorial Day. We walked in and amazingly enough they had 2 spots at the bar and I really got to watch the kitchen work and man do they kill it.. I had the Hatch Chilli Burger 🍔 and just WOW, they use Ground Ribeye and you can tell the flavor of the Hatch and Ribeye together, what a spectacular combination, qdd the fries and it was absolutely perfect... My GF had the Hatch Chilli plate and I can say, she was in heaven, the tortillas were so fresh and so tasty, the Hatch Chilli Pork was delicious.. We both talked about our meals and were just thrilled with the find..

My GF had a Spicy Skinny Margarita that was very good, I had a non-alcoholic drink they called a Force Multiplier that tasted so good I never missed the alcohol, I'd guess it could fool a person that didn't know there wasn't alcohol in it..

Honestly we happened upon it randomly on a wonderful spring evening, and couldn't have been happier Let me say that the cooks were on it, the grill guy looked so young and had so much talent.. I'll be back

And thank you to the bartenders you guys kill it on...

As locals living right across from Main Street in Santa Monica, my husband and I often visit the bars and restaurants up and down the strip. We decided to try Vamos Vamos after hopping around a few bars for game two of the World Series, thinking it would be a great spot to end our night with some food and drinks.

Unfortunately, the experience left us a bit disappointed. My husband ordered a tequila on the rocks, and what arrived was almost laughable—a glass mostly filled with ice and a splash of tequila. After having similar drinks at two other packed bars that evening, receiving this kind of pour from a restaurant we’ve genuinely enjoyed before (especially when they had only a few other customers) felt like a letdown.

We’re all about supporting local spots, but attention to detail makes a difference, especially in an area with so many choices. Hoping this was just an off night, but wanted to share...

Such a great hidden gem in Santa Monica. We came by on a Sunday around 5pm--friendly service and a relaxed vibe right off the bat. The cocktails (Skinny Z's and Gracias Jesus, both extra spicy) were refreshing and flavorful. The lime bitters in the Skinny Z really gave it a nice pop. Food-wise, the 7 Layer Dip was surprisingly light and super tasty--not your usual heavy version. The grilled fish tacos were tender and melt-in-your-mouth good. The duck tacos were a standout--rich, flavorful, and with an unexpected but delicious Asian twist. The house made flour tortillas were phenomenal and make sure to ask for both in-house hot sauces - spicy and worth dipping everything in. Definitely worth a visit!
