This place is such a vibe! The Bartenders were awesome! Drinks were great and fairly priced. I did ask what the weirdest shot they had was and was shown a bottle of Malort. I knew the pain that was coming(lived in Chicago for a bit) but people in my party didn’t so I had fun buying them said shot (I took one too)and watching their reactions 😂😂😂! Honestly we spent more time here than any other spot because we loved it here. I even added to the collection of Abe drawings ❤️ Thank y'all for such a wonderful time .

This is a really cool little bar that my wife and I spent some time with due to the great bartender. We were able to listen to great music, and enjoy some drinks. We were able to sit at the bar with our two pooches, as well. As the night went on, patrons really appreciated the dogs presence. Will definitely be a new tradition to enjoy a cocktail here when we return. Draw a picture of Abraham Lincoln on napkin and hang it up, too! We sure did!

I'll preface this by saying that I'm relatively new to Savannah, having been here for just shy of a month now. However, I've been making an exercise of checking out a new bar/brewery every other night, just for the sake of getting out and exploring, and after visiting around fourteen unique places in Savannah, this the first time that I've felt like it was worth it to sit down and take the time to write a review.

I stumbled upon Abe's by chance a few nights ago on the recommendation of a stranger, after I'd asked about good places to relax and get a drink late night on a random weekday, it and it is now hands down my favorite bar in Savannah.

I'll be completely honest, at first sight I was a bit thrown off and had some reservations about the quality of the reccomendation. With a cursory glance, Abe's definitely gave off an immediate 'just another dive bar/hole in the wall' first impression; another time, another place, I might very well have passed hasty judgment and moved along. It's not a 'large' bar by any means, nor is it in a fancy purpose-built building in the most trendy area of town. It's not bursting at the ceiling with TV's playing every single sporting event happening in the world at that moment. It's not a place with three hostesses and seven bartenders amongst a sea of booths and barstools. I think all these things that it's not are part of what makes Abe's such a gem.

If you take a minute to sit down inside and take in everything around you, there's an undeniably quirky, cozy sort of charm that's easy to appreciate. The staff have a kind of happy, relaxed friendliness about them that's genuinely unique in its sincerity. The service was absolutely exceptional. I didn't find drink selection to be in any way lacking to suit my particular tastes, which were definitely broadened thanks to some wonderful suggestions on the part of the bartender.

In the end, I'm convinced that the most important things for which Abe's On Lincoln stands out are service and atmosphere. I'll sum it up this way: there's certainly no shortage of bars to visit if you want to get a good drink in Savannah, but do you know where else I can have all of those same drinks? Home. I can have those drinks at home. It's seriously the easiest thing to do. I can be certain that I'll have all of whatever I'm in the mood for. I can sit in comfort. I can have over as many of only the people who I'd care to see as I'd like, and not have to shout over a crowd to have a conversation. I don't even have to put on pants. So why should I go out of my way to go somewhere to do something that I could easily enjoy at home? That's the question that I've asked myself several times now over the past month, after lackluster experiences at some of the ostensibly more popular bars in Savannah. I'm glad to have been reminded that experiences like what I found at Abe's is the answer to that question, and why I'll certainly visit again in the...

This was in 2020 or 2021 but I have thought about it several times since and I have never been treated so rudely for so little reason. It was maybe 2am, I was wandering around savannah. Walked into this place, cool vibe, ordered some drinks. I was alone and drinking a decent amount, but I wasn't approaching anyone, or being rude, I was just on my phone. Maybe 4 or 5 drinks in the bartender told me I was kicked out. Literally did not speak to, or so much as give a dirty look to anyone. Was just enjoying the vibe, paying for (and tipping for!) drinks then suddenly "you have to leave". I drank a good bit, but not visibly drunk, and this is savannah were talking about everyone is drunk by that time. Sry for the bad review but stop kicking people out for no reason. Like seriously what did I do? This has been a strange event that has stuck in my head for years. I did not eat any food but I will give the benefit of the doubt that they serve food and that it's good, just like they didn't give me the benefit of the doubt that I could drink without bothering people or causing a scene or whatever they thought. Maybe the bartenders friend was there and she...
