The views and atmosphere are fantastic. The food, amazing! However, the service was terrible. We sat at one of the community tables with a beautiful fire pit in the middle. Ordered drinks and they were delicious. We let our server know we would want to order food. And then that was the last we saw her for easily 20-30 minutes. She didn’t appear to be too busy considering she hung out by the pos system for a good majority of the time. Finally we were able to wave her down and ordered the sliders, poke tacos and beef kabobs. All of the food was exceptional. For being a rooftop bar focused on fun drinks, I was impressed. However it took another lengthy amount of time for her to come back around to us, again she didn’t appear to be busy yet more just uninterested in checking on tables. She took our cards and then disappeared. When she came back to bring our checks, she brought one of our checks but not the other, just ignoring us. She walked over to the bar, our check in her hand, snd was texting for quite some time. Eventually she came up to us and said she lost our card and security was coming. No apology, nothing. Just walked off. So we naturally put a hold on our card, fearing someone stole it. Five minutes later she waves the card in the air to show us that she found it and walked away. My girlfriend went and flagged her down to let her know that the card wasn’t going to work because she put a hold on it and asked to speak with manager. The manager came over, and she was quite nice and considerate, however being in the service industry I don’t appreciate when poor service is given the excuse of the fact that they are short staffed. I understand it if it been a busy night however our server didn’t appear to be very busy and hung out by the POS majority of the night. She never came to check on us when we got drinks or food and we had to flag her down each time. Overall, the manger took care of the situation but the service made me not want to go back. I understand the service industry is hurting right now but it wasn’t even that busy to use that...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of experiencing Electric Moon Skytop Lounge + Moon Deck, conveniently located adjacent to the JW Marriott hotel. From the moment we arrived, the vibrant atmosphere and pulsating music set the stage for what we hoped would be an unforgettable evening. However, our excitement was soon dampened by the disappointing level of service. Despite the bustling energy of the venue, there seemed to be a glaring lack of attention to patrons. No one greeted us or offered assistance with seating, leaving us to navigate the space on our own. This absence of personalized service left a sour taste and detracted significantly from the overall enjoyment of our visit.Undeterred, my wife and I were determined to salvage the experience. We were particularly eager to sample the rooftop drinks, especially on a sunny Saturday afternoon. Yet, unfortunately, the libations failed to impress. While the offerings were satisfactory, they lacked the creativity and flair we had anticipated, failing to leave a lasting impression.Amidst this disappointment, there was one shining beacon of culinary delight: the loaded tater tots. Even without the bacon (as we opted for the vegetarian version), they were an explosion of flavor and texture, delivering a much-needed burst of satisfaction amidst the mediocrity.Despite the shortcomings in service and drinks, one aspect of Electric Moon Skytop Lounge + Moon Deck truly stood out: the view. The panoramic vistas from the rooftop were simply breathtaking, offering a stunning backdrop to our evening despite the other shortcomings. In the end, while Electric Moon Skytop Lounge + Moon Deck has its charms, particularly its prime location, lively ambiance, and impressive views, the lackluster service and underwhelming drinks left us feeling somewhat disillusioned. Despite the tantalizing promise of an extraordinary experience, we couldn't help but feel that the reality fell short...
Read moreMy friends and I visit the Electric Moon regularly. Normally we have no issues and service is terrific however this past Saturday (6/18/22) when we visited our experience was extremely disappointing. We ordered our first round at the bar and moved over to a table on the balcony to enjoy the views. Our plan was to have a second round and possibly some appetizers. Our bartender was friendly and fabulous. When we sat down at our table our waiter informed us that we could order drinks and food from him. We thanked him and communicated to him that we would let him know when we were ready to proceed with ordering. He visited us two more times within 15 minutes of us sitting down. We weren’t in a rush and hadn’t finished our first round quite yet. The last time he came over we told him that we were okay with just our drinks for now. His attitude went from 0 to 100 within seconds. “ThIs SeCtIoN iS FoR tABlE sErViCe!” he exclaimed. We had made purchases in the establishment. We simply were not ready to move forward. There were plenty of open tables so we were not taking an opportunity for someone else. We were simply just trying to enjoy our time there. I felt as though this server was only there to collect a tip from us(which he would’ve received had he been patient). I felt pressured and rushed by this individual which he had no reason to do to us. Communication and patience are two key qualities that one must have when working in customer service. I’ve been in the industry for 12 years. This server does not embody these qualities . I’m extremely disappointed in JW Marriott and Electric Moon for allowing someone to treat us this way. Savannah is known for embodying warm southern hospitality. Where was it in...
