This place had a very cool vibe to it so me and my boyfriend stopped and decided to eat here, the host was very nice and sat us right away.
we waited about 5 mins to get greeted by a server, when he finally came up it was a super awkward greet , didn’t mention his name; didn’t ask how we were doing , didn’t recommend anything just “ so any drinks to get started “ we were ready for everything by then so we made it pretty easy.
We probably waited 10 minutes to finally get some water, he told us 3 separate times he would bring us some , my boyfriend eventually just went up to the host to ask for some.
We got our starter app that is complimentary but no one even said what is was so we had no idea what we were eating, for being as expensive as they are I feel like better service should be provided , than we got our guac we ordered and the person just goes “ guacamole” with no smile nothing and leaves it at the end of our table, it just seemed as though nobody was happy to be there, we felt like a inconvenience which is how no guest should feel.
The guac was flavorless as for taste, server than dropped off our drinks than we didn’t really see much of him at all , another person dropped our food and we had to ask for a cocktail order from them, he wasnt rude by any means but just wasn’t present much at all, never checked in how the food tasted , nor the drinks , nothing.
For how expensive this place is the service is mediocre and the food is pretty flavorless, doesn’t taste authentic by any means.
I will say the only positive thing about this place was the cocktails , super yummy, other than that would not recommend, staff needs to be retrained on how to give better customer service, had that been present , the experience would have been...
Read moreSo my experience at this restaurant was barely bearable. We went on a Friday night, and we walked in it took a few minutes for them to notice that we were there, but the gentleman was very nice and sat us down. Now here's where our experience kind of goes south. Our waitress seems like she was fed up with her job. Felt like I was forcing her to come to our table to take our orders and remind her twice about our drinks.
So as for the food itself, the watermelon drink we had to send back it was not good, but maybe we weren't in the mood for it. But the agua Chile oh my goodness that was not edible at all as you see in the picture it looks like a Big Blob it tastes like that also. We decided to sit outside and I think that might have been the problem why they forget about you because they only have a few tables outside and unless you make eye contact with your waiter inside you get overlooked not to mention music they have outside I think it's different than what they have inside
Overall, the food was not what I expected. Street corn was the best thing we did ate that night at that restaurant.
Maybe this place might be good only to go and get drinks and just have a few appetizers before you go out, but I would not recommend for a dinner you will pay...
Read moreI was honestly quite disappointed. I saw this place had nearly perfect five-star reviews and the food looked amazing. The upscale atmosphere and interior design were exactly the vibe I was hoping for.
I started with a spicy margarita, and the waitress gave me the option of salt or Tajín on the rim. I love Tajín and even pointed that out. When the drink arrived, it had salt instead, my first disappointment. After my first sip, the margarita was overwhelmingly sweet and had zero spice, not even a little kick.
For appetizers, we ordered the elote and bone marrow combo. The elote was just okay; all I could really taste was a heavy chipotle aioli, which overpowered the classic elote flavors. The bone marrow was another letdown, barely any meat, and one side was still bloody. We sent it back, and while the replacement was slightly better, it still didn’t wow us. We’ve definitely had better.
For my main, I ordered the cochinita tacos. The menu described them as having pickled red onions with habanero and a habanero cream sauce, but there was barely any flavor, let alone spice. I had to ask for a side of habanero salsa just to bring some life into it. I wouldn’t recommend coming...
