Horrible attitude. Burnt food. Disappointed. It took 21 minutes fur the burnt Bruschetta to arrive (after the pizza, after the dip, then... burnt bruscheta). How that left the kitchen is beyond me and worse is delivering it. I was done the pizza before it came.
When the pizza arrived I went to grab two plates. Later, while we were eating, I was scolded by someone. The dude who took our order and brought us the burnt bruschetta thought to come. Up to.me and say, "If you need something, you ask us, that area is for employees only!" In a really snarky tone. I looked, but couldn't see a sign. I also have an invisible sign. It says, "Don't bring me horrible food!" But he did it anyway. The same guy who scolded me is the same guy who thought it was good to bring a customer a burnt item with zero apology for the extreme delay (it's toast with toppings. 21 minutes is ludicrous) and no acknowledgment of the charred bread. You could smell the burnt bread throughout the restaurant. We saw the smoke and couldn't believe that was actually our Bruschetta being brought over. No comment, just plop in the table, our super extra well done bread with some fresh toppings to hide the carbon slice. There's plenty of options when going out. This particular location won't be one of them anymore. Scolded for grabbing plates, that's insane. And I left a tip, what a mistake. The pizza was good as was the dip, but it did nothing to offset the attitude and obvious disinterest in serving a quality product. I can't say anything positive about an atmosphere that feels it necessary to treat a customer in a condescending, demeaning way. Drinks are self-service, and if plates aren't brought, it's logical to think you have to get your own. I asked the girl if I could grab some bread, she said, "Go ahead." She was fine. The guy was the rude one. Plus, the guy neglected to clean under several tables, although they were empty the entire time. It was quite slow and he was tidying up, just not the full effort. Somebody needs to work on their people skills. We were there from 7:52 - 8:25. Receipts included in the...
Read moreIf the manager Tom is there to provide customer service he is missing the mark greatly. My husband came in to eat with my brother in law and ordered me a to-go salad upon his departure. I went to eat the salad about 30 minutes later only to find it was a soggy mess. I called the restaurant and spoke with Tom. My initial reason for calling was to find out if they were making the salads in advance and to let them know that it was resulting in poor quality. I’ve ordered this salad many times and never had this experience. Tom said, no they make nothing in advance, did not seem to care at all that I had experienced poor quality. In normal circumstances I would not have gone through the hassle beyond making the call. In this case, I was so thoroughly annoyed by how flippant the manager was that I decided to bring it back, get a refund and have him investigate what had happened. It turns out that they thought it was a good idea to pre-mix the salad with the dressing, and also put some on the side resulting in the complete breakdown of the lettuce. If this is an approved practice it’s a bad one. I’ve never seen them do this before. When I told my husband about it, he said that same manager chastised him during dinner for asking for side plates, noting he could use the underlying plate on the macaroni dish vs asking for an additional. Really?! He asked for a meal, not a condescending attitude or a lecture. We frequent sauce, and have never had an experience like this before. The poor meal quality could easily have been forgiven as a one off. Dragging my 7 year old child out at bedtime due to extra irritation from a manager with terrible customer service is...
Read moreTwo things, one is, by accident I tried a pizza here someone else ordered and i was blown away. My fist thought was, this is how pizza should taste!!! Unfortunately, I wasn't told which pizza it was or else I'd be such a regular I'd have a room in the back and be on a first name basis w everyone there...
Most importantly though, is Tom the manager. I grew up in a family restaurant business and know what good customer service is. We treated our customers as house guests. Tom did the same for me the other night a while back when I went in solely for their chocolate chip cookies, which in my opinion is the best cookie on the market. Why they don't start a cookie business on the side is beyond me... But anyway, they were sold out that night, rightfully so. It was close to closing time, and Tom went in the back and made me several hot, right out of the oven cookies, and for that I am very impressed. Honestly, I will never forget that. Alfonso the cook there was awesome and kept me company answering my questions as I tried to figure what pizza it was i had that soared above my pizza expectations, and overall I have nothing but positive things to say of every thing I've experienced at the Scorrsdale location. I hope Tom gets recognized for his class and intelligence and style one day and becomes CEO of the company. Thank you Tom, thank you Alfonso, bless you both brothers, especially you Tom. Sincere gratitude... And anyone reading this,...
