Alessio Artisanal Gelato — Restaurant in Solvang

Initially when I arrived the tall man with the red hair was very friendly and welcoming, I liked him :)

The person who I assumed was the manager served us ice cream. I bought two gelatos for my kids and he scraped the ice top flat on both servings, which was cheap considering the high price of the gelato. Soon after I payed, this guy scooped gelato into a heaping portion into cup for himself and started eating in front of us, which I thought was rude and unprofessional.

Go to a place with reasonable portion sizes and better...

The best ice cream shop ever! The ice cream was incredibly delicious! honestly, even better than the gelato I had in Rome! The affogato was out of this world: so creamy and flavorful. The guy working there was amazing; so patient and polite. He let us try as many flavors as we wanted without rushing us, which made the experience even better. You can tell they truly care about their customers and the quality of their products.

The BEST gelato made by the incredibly friendly owner Alessio. We absolutely love coming here and have yet to be disappointed. The pricing is actually quite fair for the location (downtown Solvang) and the quality of ingredients used is top of the line. We recently tried the mango gelato and wondered how it was possible to make a flavor taste more like mango than a mango itself! The Belgian cookie is perhaps the best gelato I have ever had. 5 stars...
