My fiance and I drove all the way from Tahoe and had to drive to the Reno airport to pick up family prior to our first day at Heavenly. Needless to say, we were exhausted when we finally got up to the mountain. After riding the Gondola, which takes 20 minutes, I reached to put my bindings on my left foot and it snapped. Had to take the gondola all the way back down to the base for a repair. They sent us to 3 different places and finally landed at the Boarding House.
When I walked in, I asked if they had replacement parts. Right away one of the girls had a condescending tone. "Well your bindings are really old" She could have said something like, "Your bindings are really old, but you might just want to buy new bindings" - Nothing like that. At least the other girl behind the counter suggested buying new bindings, which we did. I spent almost $200 at that store and I felt like I was inconveniencing them. I’ve spent $1000s of dollars here over the last year or so on all my snowboarding/clothing as well as $400+ on boots the week before. The lady replied and said it was on sale and could not return it cause a little paper tag was missing and it had a “weird smell”. Which it didn’t. I will not be giving any more business to this company. They’ve lost a once loyal local customer. And I will not be referring...
Read moreMy husband and I walked up and down, back and forth to all of the shops looking for the perfect goggles but every place seemed to have the same stuff. Boardinghouse was suggested and so happy we went! It's somewhat hidden (upstairs from North Face) if you didn't know the area, but their selection seems to be more unique and their prices are definitely cheaper than their rivalries! The dudes working that night (2/15/19) were super chill & helpful, too!...
