I have to say that this little hole in the wall place took me by surprise! I walked in not expecting too much because it was so late, but was warmly welcomed by a gal named Emma and Richie. They both made me feel right at “home” and asked me what I would like to drink. I ordered an Aperol Spritz and made it promptly…they asked questions about how I preferred mine and served me an amazing drink! Emma is super sweet, kind, and prompt. There is no waiting around. Richie made me a Thai flatbread that was fantastic. I almost ate the entire thing and that’s saying a lot for me, as I typically pick at my food. It was truly something you wouldn’t typically get at a bar. Attention in the details and I greatly appreciate that! I will absolutely return, as this little bar has both style and amazing customer service. It was a joy to be able to go inside and just relax and be taken care of after a long week. I loved the decor. The art hanging on the walls was beautiful and the blown glass lighting was awesome. I also really enjoyed the stained leaded glass decoration behind the bar. Lots of thought has gone into everything and looks very well put together. Thanks for a wonderful evening out - you will see me...
Read moreSo many great things to say. Out of everything, let me just focus on one thing that has been on my mind since I've visited it. The bartender was amazing. I'm a beer guy, new to cocktails. I know that I like good whiskey, but never know what to order. We stayed at the ruby after a dirtyheads concert, and went here for drinks afterwards. It was Whiskey Wednesday, and I told the guy to make me something good, and surprise me. He brought me a cross between an old fashioned and a Manhattan. 4 roses, bitters, and vermouth, but served like an old fashioned over a gentleman's cube, in a whiskey glass, garnished with an orange peel.
That's the best cocktail I've ever had. And I've tried to remake it, and I can't! No matter how hard I try, I can't get it the way he does. May have to take a trip to Spokane just to have it again, and see this guy again.
The bartender was great. Checked in on me and my fiance, got to know us as people, interacted with us just like we were there every day.
Top notch lounge. Top notch drinks. Top notch bartender. See you...
Read moreHands down my favorite bar. It is not an overly loud bar with tons of people taking about nonsense. The phenomal bartenders know their old school drinks; and serve them with a fun Spokane flair to it. Their service is more than willing to engage with their clientele. One of the few bars where everyone is friends and a polite conversation will absorb the attention from everyone at the bar. The food here is not "traditional bar food" they offer a creative menu for a place as small as this. When I say creative I mean creative. There is an exotic simplicity that pays homage to a humble beginning of everyone's journey into fine dining and drinking that is unparalleled to any other bar that I have ever been to. You will find me here more than any...
