I was born and raised in Spokane- a city that I was stoked to show my partner. I heard decent things about the district bar- however when we were cruising by it was really slow and didnāt seem too inviting. Regardless, we decided to give it a shot. (Mistake) as soon as we entered the bar we WERE NOT greeted with kindness- rather crude smirks and a guy that appeared to be barely able to serve alcohol himself. The ābartenderā asked for our IDās in which he immediately smirked and said āYeah Iām not taking thisā. I thought he was joking- I mean Iāve gotten a few mclovinā jokes since being here with my Hawaii license. But he wasnāt. He assertively claimed my ID had to be fake- and then proceeded to pass it around the bar to the two other patrons who smirked at our license as well- claiming āthey canāt be realā. Well- cool story, Hawaii is a place- and although it may be small- guarantee no one from those islands will be visiting this local hub. I hope that in The future the district bar trains their employees to properly ID their patrons, rather than gaslight them in front of a few others (whom he was obviously trying to impress by denying a 27 and 25 year old service). Well friends- jokes on themā¦. We tip well and leave even better positive reviews than negative. Iāll be cruising byā¦. Anywhere else honestly. Spokane is still good- but damnā¦....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreGood beer selection is about all I can say about this place. Went to eat at about 730. Place looked like a ghost town and it still took a few minutes for someone to greet us. Once we got menus, the bartender/waiter made it seem like they are about to close, so I asked him if they were closing because I didn't want to impose. He said no. I proceeded to order and they were supposedly out of what I wanted ( which seems odd for 730 on a Saturday and no one in the restaurant) So I ordered another dish last minute. My last minute order wasn't the best but it was edible, corn shell were mushy and half cracked and the pork had very little flavor. This is the second time my wife and I have been here and we can now say if you want mediocre food than this is for you. I mean really even Taco bell can serve a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis restaurant is part of the Knitting Factory. I understand that the diverse audiences here require food to be more rural, but the food is awful for the price. Burgers and fried food for double what you would get for the same thing anywhere else.
Furthermore, I came in early for dinner before a show. Mens urinal was out of order, and the available toilets had dried vomit on them. The amazing server said they have an employee who cleans the restrooms before the shows, but I guess found a better job.
I hate giving this business my money, but Lucky You closed, and there aren't many...
