This is why I hate tipping at QSR restaurants. We were in line 10/19/25 and instead of just opening 2nd register, the staff told us to use the tablets, so off we went to be workers. The left side tablet when pressed, swiveled all over the place. Reminded me of Peter Griffin and his food truck tablet episode. Strike 1.
We ordered our grain bowls and took a seat since the counter was overly crowded with folks at the pickup and at the register. Keep in mind, we didn't have a paper receipt - only text link. Our name was called, and before we could get up to get it, they yelled the name again. My friend picks up the order and offers to show the mobile receipt because we needed our drink cups. The owner/operator or shift manager, was short and rude about having to go fetch cups. If you want us to be the worker, provide the cups at the tablet station. Strike 2.
The grains bowl was healthier option we were seeking, but I've had better grain bowls from Cava and Halal Guys. The place is pure concrete and a sign for "kids eat free Saturdays and Sundays". The place was so damn echoey loud and full of screaming kids and kids with their tablets on speakerphone - might as well been a daycare. While this part was not entirely their fault but this kid stood up on the bench behind me and yelled in my ear. Strike 3.
Patrons are tired of paying $42 for mediocre service with a shitty attitude. So for rude service with a pre-tip and two glorified salads with a premium upcharge of $1.90 for a "mixed carve", which consisted of a few strips of thin carved lamb/beef and overly charred pieces of chicken and not necessarily extra protein, we won't be back. EVER.
Miss me with...
Read moreI got the lamb/beef wrap with everything on it. The wrap is pretty large with a good amount of meat. Yes you may get more meat at other places, but the overall package here is much better. You can really taste the veggies, and the whole wrap feels much lighter and healthier compared to similar types of food elsewhere.
The sauces are great too. The red sauce has a nice kick, but overly spicy. The green sauce is creamy and just tastes really fresh. I thought the white sauce was watery at first glance, but it's actually really good when you taste it.
They wrap it really well--super solid and doesn't fall apart on you like wraps and/or burritos elsewhere. It’s a small detail but it makes a big difference. The wrap bread itself is great, too. The manager mentioned the owners are from Afghanistan, so I'm assuming it's an Afghani-inspired bread, but whatever it is, it holds everything perfectly and doesn't get soggy. It's kind of a mix between pita and roti, and it's delicious.
Also, almost skipped the saffron rice, but the manager made it sound delicious, and it really is. You can actually taste the saffron in this—it's not the usual "yellow rice" that's just dyed yellow.
I really hope TKS opens more locations. It's a great new fast-casual spot. They’ve got wraps, bowls, and platters, plus falafel if...
