I just wanted to bring it to SOMEONE's attention at The Colony Chipotle, that there were many issues happening this evening with food and service. I arrived to the location at 9:08 PM, entered the restaurant, and there was no line, awesome! Walk up to the line and the young man behind the counter asks me what I would like. As we get down to the various salsas and add on ingredients, I see there are several containers of items missing. There were only 4 containers present. I asked for cheese and the man said "we're out!" I said "wait, your out of cheese?" He replied with, "yep, we're out!" I noticed there was no pico (mild salsa) so I asked if they were out of that too and he just replied "yeah." No "I'm sorry about that ma'am." Nothing of that nature, just said "we're out." I got to the register and the girl just said "if you have a card, swipe it." She didn't look at me and I had to ask her if I was finished because she handed me no receipt and slid my food forward a bit as she was standing there. No one said thank you or apologized for the massive lack of toppings. This isn't the first time myself or my family has visited this location and they have been out of ingredients (veggies, meat, etc.) When they say they are out of something close to an hour before closing, I could understand this occasionally happening. But to be out of multiple items makes me think they just don't want to make or go get more. About 2 months ago I visited this location in the 8 o'clock hour and they were out of fajita veggies. I ended up driving to Frisco because they never seem to have this issue. What will this location do first thing in the AM when opening missing all these ingredients? I get home and my rice is rock hard, like its been sitting out for hours or wasn't cooked long enough. I can't even eat it. This is the most disappointing experience I've ever had with Chipotle. Myself and my family come here all of the time and we love Chipotle so this is super disappointing. In a time where the public is trying not to venture out, I am very select where I bring my business and after this, not sure I will be coming back again! I am a nurse at a local hospital and we frequently make large Chipotle orders. After this experience with this location, there is NO WAY I'd recommend to others. From service, to food selection, to food quality, everything is slacking! If I could give zero stars, I would! I saw four people walk in behind me and just thought "boy, are they gonna be...
Read moreWe LOVE Chipotle. We eat it too often if we are being honest. That said, we've been to a large number of different stores over the years. This is 1 of 2 that are relatively equal distance from us. This one is North of us, the other is South off Park. This location is without question the worst Chipotle we have ever been to. You'll notice a trend in the reviews here. I am not the only one complaining about rude staff and portioning being out of control. This location has rude staff every time we go, which has been less and less when we can help it, but we have finally be driven to the point where we just won't use them. Here is why: pictures attached, but they do not really do it justice. PORTIONS. I am not expecting a buffet, but we eat enough Chipotle to know when you're being skimped. This location ALWAYS gives you such a meager portion for everything. Rice, Beans, Steak, all of it. These pictures are from our last 2 delivery orders, which admittedly we made both of which this week. Like I said, we like Chipotle. I have tiny, tiny hands and look how tiny this burrito is, and how they don't even fill up halfway the kids' meals (one of the pictures they at least gave enough Chicken). Also, you can see one of the kids' meals got only 1 tortilla, instead of 2, which was literally so dry and hard it broke off a piece when I picked it up. Larger portions equal less profit. I get it. But this is the worst I've ever seen a location try to screw you over. Unfortunately, when we order delivery it defaults to making The Colony location our store. You don't get to pick (at least, through the Chipotle app where we get our points). As of today, I've been driven to not only write this review, but never order delivery to my house again purely so I can avoid being serviced by this location. Or, just ignore the points and order from Door Dash or Uber Eats. From now on, if we are in the area shopping we will just eat somewhere else. If we are ordering from our home, we just won't order delivery! We will just go pick it up from the Park location by Stone Briar Mall. Its is worth it to actually get what you pay for. Also, yes, I have filled out the corporate email surveys as well. Doesn't appear to be helping so I thought I'd...
Read moreIn general, I love Chipotle. I really do. As a frequent guest at this Chipotle, it's usually a 50:50 toss up as to whether I'm going to have a good time, or have something to complain about after I leave.
The chips are usually stale, overcooked, and under salted, pretty much always.
Most of the time I go, the people making the burritos are usually unresponsive or straight up not having a good time. To be fair, I probably wouldn't either given what they have to do, but at least most people at most locations make it a bit less obvious?
I am writing this review now, however, because I went tonight, and it was actually the worst experience I've ever had at a Chipotle. They were very clearly understaffed. I was excited to get Carne Asada, but they were out, with none on the way. This was at around 6:30 btw. I had to settle for chicken, which they had also run out of (but to their credit had made fresh). Watching the new employee try to double wrap my burrito was embarrassing for me and him honestly as the line kept building up (I don't need to hear remarks on how big my burrito is lmao). I was actually too embarrassed to look around me because of how long it took. When I eventually asked for chips and guac, I was charged for it, but not for the first time ever did I have to remind the people at the front to give me my stale, burnt chips and guacamole before helping another customer.
And to answer the cashier's question, no, I didn't watch the Cowboy's game, because like you, I don't watch sports. There isn't a need to make an awkward situation more awkward by asking stupid questions. :)
Also, I'm only writing this review for this location because these sort of incidents with rude staff seem to happen regularly at this location. I don't mean to complain about a...
