I arrived around 4 so not real busy. Staff is friendly, but when I was trying to get my server....he had to finish his conversation with another worker about non related work issues before he would come over. I ordered a frozen Margarita...what I got was a pretty class literally full of crushed ice with tequila. No Margarita mix at all. ( thus why I needed the server) He looked down...was mortified and offered to make another. I decided to just switch to the corona. I ended up having 2...which I never would have done had I known they were 6 bucks a piece. smh The basket if chips and salsa they gave...was comprised of almost entirely small broken stale chips. yuck I ordered the chicken enchiladas. The portion was a good size. However there was very little sauce, lacked any flavor and there was a fine layer of what seemed to be water along the bottom of the plate causing it it get soggy fast. This plate was 16.99....Prices WAY to high. The disabled woman I was with ordered the childrens plate of chicken strips with fries. For 9.99 she received three little pieces of chicken that was hard to chew and some fries. The fries however were actually good but not for 9.99. In short...they stay in business because if the high prices in a tourist town of unsuspecting customers....definitly not because of the food. Go some place else is...
Read moreWent here for eats with friends on July 4, 2016. We were lucky because they were understaffed and planning to not accept large parties, but one of our friends was definitely a smooth talker. ;)
We were a party of five, and we were seated in the middle section between the bar and the street entrance, near to the cash register/restrooms. The chips and salsa were homemade and delicious! Our smooth talker got us another round on the house! (They charge for extra).
We later asked if we could be moved to the outdoor seating area when it becomes available, because we found out that we could watch the fireworks from there. We ended up paying our tab and leaving to grab a better spot on the beach a few yards away, but it was really nice of them to accommodate us with all that we sought out for.
The service was amazing and we all had an enjoyable dinner inside and on deck.
The bathrooms = 1 toilet and sink behind the door. The girls'-room handle got stuck on me and I was temporarily locked in. They should definitely get that fixed! Claustrophobes, beware!
There wasn't any soap when I went, so luckily I carry a small bottle of anti-bac on me, for these just in case scenarios!
If I'm ever in the neighborhood again, I would definitely go...
Read moreThis was a terrible experience. I got the Macha Burrito...the black beans were obviously canned and tasted very bland. They were so watery that my burrito and plate was full of the black liquid. There was also so much cheese that’s almost all I could taste. kinda glad I couldn’t taste the sauce and meat cause it wasn’t very good either. I had a huge piece of meat the size of a meatball in my burrito too. My mom ordered the enchiladas rancheros and that wasn’t good either. The ranchero sauce tasted bad and the chicken was so dry that it was brown. Hers was also smothered in way too much cheese. Not to mention the nasty chips they served with the salsa. I realize that it’s Mexican American, but I found that almost everyone there including the guys in the kitchen all spoke French. There was no Mexican influence at all. It is the worst “Mexican” food I’ve had. I absolutely do not recommend this place. It’s our last night here in lake George and our last meal...
