Nina's Sweet Shoppe — Restaurant in Town of Lake George

My daughter has tried literally every ice cream shop in Lake George Village multiple times. We live here. So when she said Nina’s was the place to go with our friends visiting from out of town, of course we followed her recommendation. Boy was she right!

I don’t even like ice cream that much, but my eyes got wide at the gorgeous tubs of ice cream loaded with fillings. I have never seen such beautiful looking ice cream, all perfectly kept with not an ice crystal or melted part to be seen.

The young woman working behind the counter was friendly, patient, personable and really made the experience fun! I was shocked to learn she’s only in high school, because she has impeccable social skills and the grace of someone much older. She gave us space when we needed it and was friendly, courteous and helpful the whole time with our large group.

Based on her recommendation I tried the coffee ice cream with Oreos. Wow. Huge pieces and whole Oreos throughout and you can really taste all the flavor of the ice cream instead of just sugar.

The rest of my group, 4 kids ranging from 1 year old to 13 year old kids and 4 adults all loved their orders. And when the girl handed my baby a tiny cup of vanilla with a mini spoon, it melted my heart!!! The prices are great too. There’s a famous national chain ice cream across the street, and Nina’s blows them out of the water on flavor, amount of goodies mixed in with the ice cream, and defffinitely price! I can’t...

We recently visited this ice cream shop, and I can't recommend it enough! The ice cream is outstanding, and the service, especially from the owner, is exceptional. Patti, the owner, is a true gem and a cornerstone of the community. We brought our 2- and 4-year-olds, and they were absolutely thrilled with both the shop and the ice cream. Patti's pride in her shop is evident in every detail. She remembered us, offered local recommendations, and provided a warm welcome. We got to meet the owner, Patty. During our three day stay at the lake, we came in here twice. On Sunday we got to the store a little past 11pm when she was supposed to close and still took the time to speak to us and serve us. The hot chocolate was the best. 👍🏻😊. The next day, we went into her store and got a hot brownie, with vanilla ice cream and hot fudge. She took the time to get to know who we were and we got to know who she was.
